    Abstract: A recliner heart includes a first locking plate, a second locking plate, a hub, a pair of wedges, a first biasing member, and a second biasing member. The first locking plate includes first teeth. The second locking plate is rotatable relative to the first locking plate and includes second teeth. The first biasing member is configured to apply a first biasing force to the wedges. The second biasing member is configured to apply a second biasing force to the wedges. The hub is rotatable between a first position in which the first and second biasing forces are applied to the wedges to restrict rotation of the second locking plate relative to the first locking plate, and a second position in which the first biasing force applied to one wedge of the wedges is reduced to allow rotation of the second locking plate relative to the first locking plate.

    Abstract: A seatback adjustment assembly may include a recliner heart, an attachment plate, and a lever. The recliner heart is operable in an unlocked state permitting relative rotation between a seatback and a seat bottom and a locked state preventing relative rotation between the seatback and the seat bottom. The attachment plate is rotationally fixed to the recliner heart. The lever is rotatable between a first state in which the lever is engaged with the attachment plate and a second state in which the lever is disengaged from the attachment plate. When lever is in the first state and the recliner heart is in the unlocked state, rotation of the recliner heart causes corresponding rotation of the seatback relative to the seat bottom. However, the seatback is configured to rotate relative to the seat bottom without causing corresponding rotation of the recliner heart when the lever is in the second state.

    Abstract: A motor vehicle seat fitting (10) includes a first fitting part (11) and a relatively rotatable second fitting part (12), which are connected to each other via a gear unit or can be locked. A third fitting part (74) is mounted on a bearing ring (71) in a pivotal manner about an axis (A) relative to the first fitting part. The bearing ring is fixed to the first fitting part. The third fitting part (74) can be locked with the first fitting part or a component rigidly connected thereto. A pawl (80) is mounted on the third fitting part in a first hinge point (D1). The bearing ring (71) has multiple run-on cams (71a) which interact with multiple elevations (74a) of the third fitting part. A free clearance, in the radial direction between the bearing ring (71) and the third fitting part, is minimized when the pawl (80) is locked.

    Abstract: A recliner assembly for a vehicle seat that has a pair of adjustable recliners are disposed on opposite sides of the seat that connect a seat back to a seat base. The recliners are shifted between a locked position and an unlocked position by manually pivoting a connector rod. Each recliner has a gear plate and a guide plate that are each associated with one of the seat base and seat back. An easy entry module is also provided to release the seat back to pivot over the seat base to provide access to an area behind the seat back. A static connector may be provided that connects the gear plates of each of the pair of recliners and retains the gear plates of each recliner in alignment with the corresponding gear plate of the other recliner.
