摘要： An air hose hanger for supporting flexible air hoses of a trainline braking system of a rail car includes a head including a mounting plate for mounting the hanger to a coupler of a rail car, the mounting plate including first and second apertures for receiving first and second bolts for attaching the mounting plate to the coupler, and an arm removably attached to the head. The arm includes a first arm removably attached to the head extending in a substantially vertical direction away from the head, and a second arm integral with the first arm and extending in a horizontal direction substantially parallel to an axis of the coupler. The head is attached to the coupler at three preformed holes formed in the coupler, the three preformed holes including two lightener holes preformed in the coupler, and an aperture preformed in a tab on an underside of the coupler.

摘要： A communication system is disclosed for use with a train consist. The consist communication system may have a first fluid conduit, a first coupling connected to the first fluid conduit, a first cover connected to the first coupling and configured to close an end of the first fluid conduit, and at least a first cable disposed within the first fluid conduit. The system may also have a second fluid conduit substantially identical to the first fluid conduit, a second coupling substantially identical to the first coupling, fixedly connected to the second fluid conduit, and connectable to the first coupling, and a second cover connected to the second coupling and configured to close an end of the second fluid conduit. At least a second cable may be disposed within the second fluid conduit in communication with the at least a first cable through the first and second covers. The first and second fluid conduits may be pressurized.

摘要： An automatic coupler of the Janney-type has a guide horn rigidly connected to the coupling head below the knuckle and extends forwardly and laterally with respect to the knuckle. The guide horn is shaped to have on its upper face a plurality of guide and support surfaces. A second plurality of guide and support surfaces are formed on the underside of the rigid catch jaw which is spaced horizontally from the pivotable knuckle. The guide surfaces on the guide horn and underside of the jaw engage respectively guide surfaces on the underside of the jaw and a guide horn of a similar coupler when such couplers are in the coupled position so as to prevent relative vertical displacement of the coupled coupling heads.

摘要： An Electropneumatic train line connector using the train line brake pipe is disclosed. The connector is for use in communicating control signals or the like to train cars equipped with a conventional airbrake system, that is, a train line brake pipe, and interconnections between train cars through angle cocks, pneumatic hoses and ''''gladhands''''. The connector makes possible an electrical circuit which passes through the angle cocks, hoses and gladhands between each car. A return path is provided through the rails and the interconnected metal portions of the cars. Means are provided to insure electrical contact is made before the pneumatic connection is secured.

摘要： An air hose support for cushion cars, to replace the conventional chain and S-hook support, comprising a rod member formed from a resiliently stretchable elastomeric material, such as polyurethane, having its ends each formed with a plurality of cross holes spaced longitudinally of the rod member for selectively receiving special connector elements to connect the rod member ends to existing coupler and glad hand supporting lugs. Each connector element is of one piece construction formed from a length of resiliently flexible but stiff wire to define a rectilinear loop, with one length end being straight and parallel to the loop throughout its length and the other length being similarly parallel and straight to an end portion which is at right angles to the first length end and is formed with a hooked portion into which the first length end is snapped to close the loop. The connectors are formed to be disposed in locking relation to the rod member end they are secured to when the support is in its operative position.
