The two connections are connected for flow through the opening in a rotated end position of the rotary part. A plug-and-rotate lock is formed between the plug part and the carrier body. The plug part is detachably plugged into the rotary part and can be rotated in the carrier body together with the rotary part. A device for supplying a flowable substance from a container to a discharge point is also provided.

The consist communication system may have a first fluid conduit, a first coupling connected to the first fluid conduit, a first cover connected to the first coupling and configured to close an end of the first fluid conduit, and at least a first cable disposed within the first fluid conduit. The system may also have a second fluid conduit substantially identical to the first fluid conduit, a second coupling substantially identical to the first coupling, fixedly connected to the second fluid conduit, and connectable to the first coupling, and a second cover connected to the second coupling and configured to close an end of the second fluid conduit. At least a second cable may be disposed within the second fluid conduit in communication with the at least a first cable through the first and second covers. The first and second fluid conduits may be pressurized.

摘要： A coupling member for detachably connecting together two sections of air brake hose between railroad cars. Each coupling member has a hollow tubular body with one end attached to a section of hose and with an opposite end having an arcuate body portion extending circumferentially about and outwardly of the tubular body, and has an arcuate locking lug with a guide and protection surface followed by a locking surface extending generally axially from the body concentric with and projecting along substantially the entire arcuate body portion. An L-shaped arcuate flange projects outwardly and forwardly from a rear portion of the tubular body and is provided with a lip which engages a similar lip formed on the arcuate locking lug of the other of two coupling members to secure the members in coupled position where the lip projects from only a locking portion of the lug while a guide portion has a smooth surface. An elastomeric gasket is mounted within the bore of the tubular body and forms an airtight seal with a similar gasket mounted on the other coupling member. A finger is pivotally mounted within a radially extending slot formed in an arcuate end body portion of the tubular body. A protective flap is secured over the finger to protect the finger from weather related and environmental hazards, while providing a slit to allow for locking and unlocking motion.

摘要： A fluid coupling includes first and second connectable fittings. Each of the fittings include a body, an annular seat, and a fluid channel extending through the body and seat thereof. The first fitting includes a pair of latch bosses, and the second fitting includes a pair of latch arms, with the second fitting being rotatable relative to the first fitting to a latched position wherein the latch arms engage the latch bosses for maintaining the first seat adjacent to the second seat for allowing fluid to flow between the first and second channels. The fittings are also rotatable to a disengaged position wherein the latch arms and pins are disengaged to allow the first and second seats to be separated.

摘要： This invention relates to a hose coupling on the body of which is rockably mounted intermediate its ends a locking member, one end of which constitutes an operating handle. The other end of this locking member is of such a configuration as to constitute a stop which is manually rockable by the operating handle out of the pathway of the guard arm of the other one of a pair of hose couplings to be manually coupled prior to rotating the two hose couplings to the fully coupled position. The configuration of the stop is such that, upon the pair of hose couplings reaching their fully coupled position, this stop will be disposed in such a position in the pathway of the guard arm of the other one of the pair of fully coupled hose couplings as to prevent unwanted uncoupling of the two coupled hose couplings. Upon manual rocking of the locking member in one direction by the operating handle, the stop will be lifted out of the pathway of the guard arm of the other one of the pair of coupled hose couplings. With the stop at the other end of the locking member rockably mounted on each respective one of the pair of coupled hose couplings rocked out of the pathway of the guard arm on the other hose coupling, the two hose couplings may be manually uncoupled one from the other.

摘要： A coupling member for detachably connecting together two sections of air brake hose between vehicles. A coupling is comprised of two such similar coupling members, each of which has a hollow tubular body with one end attached to a section of hose. An arcuate flange extends circumferentially about the major portion of the tubular body and has an arcuate locking lug extending generally axially from the body flange opposite the hose. An L-shaped arcuate flange projects upwardly forwardly from the rear portion of the tubular body adjacent the attached hose section. A projecting lip formed on the locking lug engages a similar lip formed on the L-shaped arcuate flange of the other of the two coupling members to secure the members in coupled position. An annular gasket is mounted within the bore of the tubular body and forms an airtight seal with a similar gasket mounted on the other coupling member. A finger is pivotally mounted within a circumferentially extending recess formed in a lower portion of the body flange of at least one member, and pivots by gravity beyond the flange when the members are in coupled position, and is adapted to engage an edge of the Lshaped flange of the other member to prevent premature rotational uncoupling of the members.
