The track shoe may have a base plate with an inner surface and an outer surface, and a grouser bar extending from the outer surface away from the base plate. The track shoe may also have a vibration damping coating applied to opposing ends of the base plate at the inner surface. The vibration damping coating may have a thickness about equal to a thickness of the base plate.

摘要: A sprocket wheel assembly of a crawler vehicle which comprises a first inner tube mounted on a drive shaft, a second inner tube rotatably mounted on a final reduction gear casing and fixedly connected with the first inner tube, and an outer tube disposed so as to extend over the outer circumferences of the first and second inner tubes. A first elastic annular block unit is interposed between the first annular tube and one end section of the outer tube and a second elastic annular block unit is interposed between the second inner tube and the other end section of the outer tube. A sprocket wheel for driving a linked-together endless track is fixedly mounted to the outer tube.

摘要: An endless track assembly for a track-type vehicle comprises a plurality of track shoes secured to an articulated chain. The links of the chain are pivotally interconnected together by pin and bushing assemblies adapted to engage a drive sprocket of the vehicle. A cushioning lug is secured to each track shoe, intermediate each pair of adjacent pin and bushing assemblies, for attenuating the noise level of the track assembly upon engagement therewith with the drive sprocket. Each cushioning lug assembly comprises a resilient cushioning block composed of an elastomeric material, a cap mounted on the cushioning block and a tensioned cable secured between the cap and a respective one of the track shoes. A ball secured to the upper end of the cable may be connected to the cap by an annular retainer formed integrally with the cap, or by a separate member secured to the cap and covered by a plug.

摘要: a track assembly has a continuous track and a tire is provided in contact with the track. A plurality of protrusions extends from one of the track and tire, and openings extend into the other of the track and tire. These protrusions and openings are mateable one within the other. The mating elements can be a multiplicity of configurations.Rotation of the tire by a power source progressively engages protrusions and openings, and the track is driven, as might be employed as drive mechanism for a track-type vehicle. The tire, for example, can be a pneumatic tire, preferably a tire of the beadless type.The flexible properties of the tire eliminates the need for a fixed distance between the track and drive axle and increases the contact area between the tire and track driving elements. Further, noise is reduced in the track system and the tire can provide an air suspension for the vehicle.

摘要: An endless hinged joint track assembly for use with a vehicle having a notched drive sprocket is provided with link elements having a mid-pitch drive lug located midway between the hinged joints so that only the drive lugs contact the drive sprocket during operation of the vehicle. The mid-pitch drive lug is provided with a drive surface having a specific geometrical configuration to provide proper contact with the drive sprocket.
