Abstract: A spline connection having a hub with a toothing profile on the inner circumference, an axle journal having a toothing profile on an outer circumferential portion, a shoulder for axial support and/or abutment against the hub, and a tensioning device for axially bracing the axle journal with the hub. The hub has a constant toothing profile and the axle journal has a first portion and a second portion with different toothing profiles. The first portion is arranged on the insertion side to be further away from the shoulder than the second portion and has a constant toothing profile with play with respect to the toothing profile of the hub. The second portion is arranged on the shoulder side and has a toothing profile which has reduced tooth spaces compared with the first portion and which is play-free with respect to the toothing profile of the hub.

Abstract: A rigid cambered drive axle has a straight rigid housing for the two drive axles and a cambered spindle, integral with the end of the housing, for supporting a wheel hub. A drive in each inside of the housing turns a cambered drive plate through a direction changing ball joint. The drive axle and the cambered spindle each have an axis that intersects the other at the direction changing drive ball joint. The axle housing is provided with internal bearing seats concentric with the drive ball joint. Abstract: A wheel hub clutch assembly comprises a cylindrical body formed therein with a first set of clutch teeth and fastened to a wheel hub, a sleeve member fixed to the outer end of a drive axle and located within the body, a clutch member formed with a second set of clutch teeth and axially slidably mounted on the sleeve member for rotation therewith, a cam ring operatively coupled with the outer end of a stationary axle tube for the drive axle and rotatable on the sleeve member, a cam follower ring axially slidably mounted on the sleeve member for rotation therewith and cooperable with the cam ring to be displaced toward the clutch member in response to rotation of the drive axle, and a connecting member engaged with the cam follower ring and the clutch member to permit relatively inward movement between the cam follower ring and clutch member.
