摘要: A steering system for a vehicle includes at least one wheel that pivots to define a steering angle, wherein the steering angle is defined, at least in part, by an input from the operator, and at least one sensor adapted to monitor the roll of a vehicle body and a height of the center of gravity of the vehicle. The steering system also includes a motor operatively connected to the wheel that supplements the input to the steering angle, and a controller in communication with the sensor and operatively connected to the motor, wherein the controller is adapted to adjust the supplementation of the input to the steering angle based upon the amount of roll of the vehicle body as monitored by the sensor, and adapted to supplement the steering angle when the amount of roll of the vehicle body as monitored by the sensor exceeds a maximum value.

摘要: A hydraulic damper for use with a vehicular suspension system includes a reciprocating piston rod and piston in an inner cylinder. A piston valving means is carried by the piston and controls the flow of fluid between upper and lower chambers of the inner cylinder. A base valving assembly controls the flow of fluid from the inner cylinder to a reservoir. A slotted control plate is rotationally fixed with resepct to the piston in the lower chamber adjacent the base valving assembly. As the vehicle is steered, rotation of the inner cylinder and base valve assembly selectively aligns the slotted control plate to vary flow between the control plate and the base valve assembly, thereby providing steer-sensitive damping.

摘要: An anti-roll system in a vehicle equipped with a power steering system for producing a steering reactive force modulatable by a speed at which the vehicle is running. The system introduces hydraulic pressure for the steering reactive force into suspension units on one side of the vehicle depending on steering directions, thereby preventing the roll of the vehicle body due to centrifugal forces exerted while the vehicle is being turned. An excessively inclined attitude of the vehicle during the turning thereof is thus corrected for an increased degree of maneuverability and safety of the vehicle.

摘要: A vehicle adaptive steering control apparatus includes a front wheel steering mechanism having a right wheel steering portion and a left wheel steering portion. A left front wheel rotatably is coupled to the left wheel steering portion. A right front wheel rotatably coupled to the right wheel steering portion. A controller in electronic communication with a steer-by-wire steering wheel assembly and the front wheel steering mechanism operates the front wheel steering mechanism to turn the left front wheel and the right front wheel in accordance with Ackerman steering geometry. The controller is also configured to calculate toe angle adjustments for the right wheel steering portion relative to the left wheel steering portion and make the toe angle adjustments to right wheel steering portion and the left wheel steering portion during turning and steering movements effected by the right wheel steering portion and the left wheel steering portion.

摘要: An electric power steering apparatus that suppresses the vibration of the operating member and improves the steering feeling due to the characteristic compensation of the assist map, without a change of a proportional and integral (PI) control gain in the current control section. The electric power steering apparatus includes a first compensating section provided at a front stage of the assist map and a second compensating section provided at a rear stage of the assist map. A current command value is calculated with a characteristic of which sloping increases for an absolute value of the steering torque being input into the first compensating section and being output from the second compensating section. Therefore, vibrations of operating members are suppressed.

摘要: A method for operating an electromechanical steering system for a motor vehicle with variable chassis height, with a steering rack, which is driven by a servo motor through a recirculating ball screw drive, with a control unit, which receives input signals and generates output signals for driving the servo motor, the output signals being representative of an assist torque to be provided by the steering system, may be characterized in that, in operation, the control unit may receive or generate a chassis height signal that may indicate a current chassis height of the vehicle, and may limit the assist torque, on the basis of the chassis height signal, to an upper limit, wherein the upper limit may be decreased with an increase of the difference between the current chassis height and a mean chassis height.

摘要: A vehicle steering system includes an axial force sensor that detects a vibration of a vehicle wheel; and a control device including an FFT analysis unit that resolves the vibration of the vehicle wheel into a power spectrum. The control device executes compensation assist control that suppresses one of a deflection of the vehicle and a vibration of a steering component that are caused by a puncture or a burst of the vehicle wheel, based on the vibration calculated based on a radius of the vehicle wheel when the vehicle wheel is normal and a vehicle speed and an abnormal-wheel frequency calculated based on a radius of the vehicle wheel when the vehicle wheel is punctured or burst and the vehicle speed.
