摘要: A chip component packaging arrangement prevents occurrence of defective loading of chip components during a taping process that is carried out to the package chip components. This arrangement has a small size. A cover tape is prepared having a base tape and a plurality of cover film pieces sequentially attached to the base tape. Each cover film piece has an adhesive part. The cover tape extends in a direction intersecting a longitudinal direction of a carrier tape. The carrier tape has a plurality of component receiving parts sequentially formed in its longitudinal direction. The cover tape is pressed to the carrier tape so that one of the cover film pieces is adhered to the carrier tape to seal the corresponding component receiving part.

摘要: Box closing apparatus applies equal pressure around the joint between upper and lower portions of a box so that the portions are sealingly interconnected around the entire joint between the portions. The apparatus has upper and lower press plates between which the box is received. In addition, a tape dispenser is provided for application of tape to the joint after the upper and lower box portions are engaged. Rotation of the press plates is permitted to facilitate application of the tape to the box joint.

摘要: A system for automating packaging of varying shipment sets comprises a control unit for receiving from a database stored information on the size and number of items forming a shipment set according to a dispatch order, an information acquiring device for acquiring current information on the items being actually arranged for said shipment set, said information acquiring device being communicatively coupled with said control unit and said control unit being configured to calculate, either based on the information from said database or from the information acquiring device, the dimensions of a custom sized cardboard box for packaging the shipment set, a box forming station for forming said custom sized cardboard box having a bottom wall, four side walls and an open top, a packaging station for packaging the items forming the shipment set into said custom sized cardboard box, and a lid placing station for closing said custom sized cardboard box with an appropriate lid, wherein said control unit is configured for performing a verification using the current information from said information acquiring device and the stored information from said database to verify that the actual shipment set is formed according to the dispatch order.

摘要: A bottom fillable espresso cartridge base and apparatus and method for filling and plugging the bottom of the espresso cartridge base. The espresso cartridge base includes an open bottom and a press in bottom plug. The top of the espresso cartridge may be sealed by a foil lid or the like, or be open and an adhesive attachable lid may be included for attachment by a user. A first method utilizes a hand held multi-function tool including a cartridge holder with a holder lid to capture the espresso cartridge, and a bottom tamper and plug seating arm. A second method utilizes a stationary base residing on a flat surface, a cartridge holder to retain cartridges on the base, and individual tools to fill and tamp brewing material in the cartridge, and to attach the bottom plug to the cartridge.

摘要: A method of fabricating coffee pods at a point of sale location using a coffee pod dispensing device with shell less, expandable coffee pods. The fabrication is initiated by tactile input from a control panel that determines the parameters of the coffee pods to be fabricated and generates the operational signals for the dispensing device. Fabrication there after progresses sequentially through a series of operations that involves the loading of the coffee pods onto a pod advancing means which then takes the coffee pods through the steps of expansion, filling, sealing and delivery. To accomplish this the pods are compressible pods arranged in a linear array that allows for pleated or stacked storage in a pod loading means within the device's enclosure, as well as continuous feed capabilities.
