摘要: A plastic injection molded product with at least one wall which on at least one side has a wavy course, such that the thickness of the wall in at least one direction is alternately smaller and larger with a flowing course. The invention also provides a method for manufacturing plastic products, wherein at least one wall of the product is formed in a mold cavity by injection molding, wherein a portion of the mold cavity which forms said at least one wall has at least one movable mold wall part which is movable between a retracted position and a forwardly moved position, wherein, with the movable mold wall part in the retracted position, plastic is introduced into the respective part of the mold cavity and then said movable mold wall part is brought to the forwardly moved position, such that the plastic in said part of the mold cavity is spread, said movable mold wall part and/or an opposite mold wall part being formed such that on at least one side of the wall to be formed a wavy surface is obtained, such that the wall thickness of the respective wall in one direction has a flowing course between alternately thick and thin parts.

摘要: A full-depth bottle case assembly for different sets of bottles of different widths, such as 1.0, 1.5 and 2.0 liter PET bottles, including a full-depth bottle case and alternative first, second and third dividers. The gridwork floor construction of the bottle case includes a plurality of female locking members. Each of the dividers has a plurality of male locking members depending down therefrom. The female and male locking members are configured and positioned such that when any one of the dividers is alternatively inserted into the case the divider is removably snap secured therein. Each divider when alteratively snap secured into the case defines with the interior walls of the case a plurality of pockets, for different width bottles than the other dividers.

摘要: The interior of the case is divided by compartmenting walls into a plurality of bottle-receiving compartments and also a central compartment which is not suited for receiving bottles and is elongated. The compartments are hexagonal. At each end of the central compartment there is a Y-intersection of three compartmenting walls. The compartmenting walls are extended upwards at these two intersections at each end of the central compartment and tapered together as they rise. Across the top of the central compartment and attached to the shanks formed by the extensions of the compartmenting wall intersections is a central handle for carrying the case. The handle shanks thus do not require space in the case in addition to the space already taken up by the compartmenting walls, and at the same time provide guide surfaces for the bottles being inserted into the compartments surrounding the end regions of the central compartment. This greatly facilitates machine loading of the case with bottles. The case also is provided with several other features which facilitate handling. A spacing of the receiving compartments away from the side wall and an inner contouring of the side wall handles permits firmer holding by mechanical tongs and to reinforces against sideways pressure. Bottom support ribs are arranged for optimum load support. Special corner depressions at the top corners accomodate the bottom support rib arrangement of a similar case when stacked on top.

摘要: A case construction for containers includes separable, identically configured, compartmentalized box units having connecting elements on interfacing side walls in the form of tubular elements comprising male and female segments in which those on one box unit telescopically cooperate with corresponding segments on an associated box unit to restrict relative movement between the box units in longitudinal and transverse direction and also serve to restrict movement of containers disposed in the compartments. A latch member is carried by one end wall of each box unit and is movable along tracks between a latching position straddling the connected box units and an unlatching position permitting separation thereof. The bottom wall of the box units contain ribs forming a channel network that enables optional column- or cross-stacking of the case constructions.

摘要: A molded plastic crate for transporting and storing five-gallon water bottles having differing external configurations has the general form of an open-ended square box with reinforced internal corner struts nested within each of the four box corners adjacent a centrally apertured box bottom. Exterior midsection portions of the crate side walls adjacent the upstanding box corners are recessed to accommodate hand-truck pickup when the crate is lying on its side. A set of opposed aligned wide handle openings are provided in each pair of opposed crate side walls with one set being located at a different height above the box bottom than the other set. A separate retaining bar which projects into the crate interior near the perimeter of the box open end to restrain a bottle against unintentional slippage from the crate may be retained in place by a steel ring encircling the perimeter of the box open end.

摘要: A carrier for carrying a plurality of bottles, the carrier having a stacking capability when filled with bottles and an improved stacking capability when empty. Each carrier is comprised of two body members. The upper body member comprises side and end walls connected in generally rectangular shape, a central dividing member having an extension thereof forming a handle, and upper partition walls cooperating with the central dividing member to form cells for holding bottles. The lower body member comprises a bottom with side and end walls and lower partition walls extending upwardly therefrom. The upper body member is slidably attached over the lower body member to form the carrier, with the two body members interfitting for limited motion therebetween. The carrier is in its extended position when it is carried filled with bottles; the carrier effectively having end and side walls of a length substantially equal to the vertical dimensions of the walls of the upper body member plus the walls of the lower body member for providing protection and lateral support for the bottles contained therein. When the carrier is empty, the upper body member is pushed down over the lower body member. In this contracted position many more carriers can be stacked as bottle carriers of normal dimensions. Registration for stacking of empty carriers is provided by reception of the handles of each carrier in a recessed open area in the bottom of the next carrier above in the stack. The carrier bottom, partition walls and central dividing member are relieved to form a slotted region for receiving the handle of the empty carton below.
