摘要: A reusable case for storing, transporting and merchandising bottles of alternatively first and second different sizes. The case has opposing open first and second ends and a shelf secured therein and midway between the ends. First and second different divider structures are formed on opposite respective sides of the shelf. The first divider structure, with the first end oriented up, defines within the case and on the shelf a first plurality of pockets for retaining bottles of the first size. Alternatively and with the case flipped over, a second plurality of pockets for the second size bottles is formed on the other side of the shelf by the second divider structure. Bottles positioned in either of the pockets extend above the top of the case in a merchandising position. When a similar case is stacked on top of the loaded case, the bottles extend up into the lower empty portion of the top case. The divider structures are configured so that the one facing down can receive up thereinto the tops of bottles in a case stacked therebeneath and in the pocket pattern of the different upwardly-facing divider structure.

摘要: An anti-rotational system which restrains containers therein from rotating and contacting adjacent containers so as not to abrade the outer surface of the containers features an exterior box having at least one wall having a height at least as great as a height of the containers. Furthermore, longitudinal ribs connect to the walls and to the bottom structure of the exterior box to form an elastic portion. The longitudinal ribs form sets of ribs which contact a diameter of the container which is smaller than a maximum diameter of the container so as to secure the position of the container. The longitudinal ribs flex so as to allow the maximum diameter region of the container to pass thereby. Once the maximum diameter region of the container has passed by the longitudinal ribs, the elastic characteristics of the longitudinal ribs allow the longitudinal ribs to flex back towards their original position thus ensuring that the longitudinal ribs contact the smaller diameter of the container. Furthermore, pairs of perpendicular ribs project up from the bottom structure to which they are attached to form a rigid portion. The pairs of perpendicular ribs are substantially located between the bottom structure and the longitudinal ribs. The pairs of perpendicular ribs have a dimension smaller than a diameter of the maximum diameter of the container and as such they come into contact with the maximum diameter of the container. The pairs of perpendicular ribs ensure that contact is maintained between the pairs of perpendicular ribs and the maximum diameter of the container. Such secure retention of the container in the anti-rotational box prevents the container stored in the anti-rotational box from contacting each other and therefore abrading the outer surfaces of the container. As such, the containers stored and transported in such an anti-rotational box allows the containers to be refilled and reused.

摘要: A receptacle for beverage containers is disclosed. The receptacle has a rigid bottom portion consisting of a plurality of framework members. A plurality of spring fingers extend generally vertically up from the bottom portion to secure at least the bases of the beverage containers. With this construction, the beverage containers are retained in a vertical position. The receptacle has side walls extending generally vertically upward from the bottom portion to define a generally open top for the receptacle. The side walls includes slots for the attachment of a handle so that the receptacle can be lifted. Each receptacle is designed so that it can be mechanically interlocked with the top or bottom of an adjacent identical receptacle.

摘要: The interior of the case is divided by compartmenting walls into a plurality of bottle-receiving compartments and also a central compartment which is not suited for receiving bottles and is elongated. The compartments are hexagonal. At each end of the central compartment there is a Y-intersection of three compartmenting walls. The compartmenting walls are extended upwards at these two intersections at each end of the central compartment and tapered together as they rise. Across the top of the central compartment and attached to the shanks formed by the extensions of the compartmenting wall intersections is a central handle for carrying the case. The handle shanks thus do not require space in the case in addition to the space already taken up by the compartmenting walls, and at the same time provide guide surfaces for the bottles being inserted into the compartments surrounding the end regions of the central compartment. This greatly facilitates machine loading of the case with bottles. The case also is provided with several other features which facilitate handling. A spacing of the receiving compartments away from the side wall and an inner contouring of the side wall handles permits firmer holding by mechanical tongs and to reinforces against sideways pressure. Bottom support ribs are arranged for optimum load support. Special corner depressions at the top corners accomodate the bottom support rib arrangement of a similar case when stacked on top.

摘要: An anti-rotational system which restrains containers therein from rotating and contacting adjacent containers so as not to abrade the outer surface of the containers features an exterior box having at least one wall having a height at least as great as a height of the containers and a bottom structure. Furthermore, a plurality of pockets are formed within the exterior box structure. Each pocket has a rigid portion and an elastic portion. The rigid portion engages a maximum diameter of the container. The elastic portion flexes so as to allow the maximum diameter region of the container to pass thereby. Once the maximum diameter region of the container has passed by the elastic region, the elastic characteristics of the elastic region allows the elastic region to flex back towards its original position thus ensuring that the elastic portion contacts a smaller diameter of the container. Such secure retention of the container in the anti-rotational box prevents the container stored in the anti-rotational box from contacting each other and therefore abrading the outer surfaces of the container. As such, the containers stored and transported in such an anti-rotational box allows the containers to be refilled and reused. Another embodiment features the use of thickened wall ribs so as to make more rigid the anti-rotational system so that the full-depth walls do not warp. The thickened wall ribs connect to the wall of the exterior box structure, the bottom structure of the exterior box structure and a pocket formed within the interior of the exterior box structure. The use of the thickened wall ribs increases the number times a container can be re-used.
