    摘要: The dual mouth shotgun can may combine the advantages of a standard aluminum beverage can with a second opening to allow for a high rate of air flow and displacement resulting in a high rate of fluid flow from the can. The can may implement a stay-tab mechanism, or any other appropriate mechanism, for ease of use and familiarity, on the standard top opening, and may further implement a stay-tab mechanism, or other appropriate mechanism on the bottom or lower side of the can for shotgunning the fluid in the can. The dual mouth shotgun can may provide a user with a single opening mechanism on its top surface for normal drinking, and a second opening mechanism on its bottom or lower side surface for drinks shotgunning. In one embodiment the can may comprise an upper and a lower body that may be twisted relative to one another to expose an opening in the side of the can that allows for drinks shotgunning. In another embodiment the can may further comprise a pushrod that leverages the second opening open when the first opening is opened. In another embodiment the can may require that the upper and lower bodies must be rotated to align outer and inner holes that then allow the pushrod to push open the second opening.

    摘要: A disposable, metal beverage can having a easy-opening tab on the top of the can. A second easy-opening tab is disposed on the can generally opposite the first easy-opening tab. The second tab is located on the bottom of the can or on the side of the can near the bottom. The first tab is opened to pour out the beverage by raising the bottom above the top. The second tab is then opened so that air enters the can above the beverage for rapid and regular emptying of the can while avoiding splashing of the beverage during pouring.

The first box section is formed by the extension of the first body. The second box includes a second body, a second box section, a second gripping section, an extension section, and a fastener section. The second box section is formed by the extension of the second body. The fastener section is connected to the extension section via a perforated line. The fastener section is embedded in the first box section. When the first gripping section and the second gripping section are displaced in opposite directions, the perforated line breaks, and the first box section and the fastener section are separated from the second box section together to separate the first box and the second box.

    摘要: A structure is provided in a container having a fluent material, such as a liquid or powder, to be selectively dispensed therefrom, and a simple, quick opening means for the container which may be effected without the need for special tooling such as a can opener.In one form, an opening is provided in the wall of a metal, plastic or paperboard container through which the contents thereof may be dispensed. Simple closure means is provided in the form of a short plastic or metal strip which is sealed to the container around the opening to close off same. The strip contains an unsealed tab portion at one end thereof which normally lies flat against the container wall and may be easily lifted by hand and pulled to break the seal with the wall of the container and to expose the opening.

    摘要: A molded plastic container having a weakened portion of its wall which may be severed by a pushing or pulling action using one or more fingers of the hand to allow dispensing the contents of the container through the resultant opening. In one form the weakened portion is defined by a channel in the wall defining an open loop of reduced wall thickness. Severance may be effected of the material inwardly of the open loop by pressing inwardly with the finger of the hand. In another form, the loop defined by the channel in the wall is closed and is irregularly shaped to permit it to be manipulated or grasped by the finger to assist in severing the tab and/or to permit the tab to be pulled out once it is partly severed. The method for forming the channel is also provided.

    摘要: An adhesive strip used for hermetically and releasably sealing metal cans which may contain coffee or other perishable commodities comprises a flexible, non stretchy, tape backing member which neither breaks nor elongates more than 25% under a tension of 4 pounds and is capable of being pulled back upon itself without rupture, and a smooth, uniform coating of thermoplastic, heat activatable, non-tacky adhesive of 1/2 to 10 mls. thickness which affords continuous resistance to dead load shear of at least 25 psi at 120 DEG F without the tendency of the lid and container portions of the can to separate at the adhesive strip, the adhesive strip being adherable to clean tin plate under heat and pressure to provide a peel resistance of 1 to 6 pounds per 3/8 inch width at 41 DEG -104 DEG F, the instantaneous peel resistance at 40 DEG F to 100 DEG F varying no more than \sB50% from the average at that temperature, and the average peel resistance at any such temperature varying no more than \sB50% from the average peel resistance at 75 DEG F. The backing may have low-adhesion back size coatings such as are disclosed in British Patent Nos. 645,057 and 683,927. The backing may be treated to improve the anchorage of the adhesive e.g. by etching or roughening. The backing may be of a soft metal, or a plastics such as polyethylene terephthalate which has been oriented by stretching. In the Examples: a soft aluminium foil is primed with a vinyl chloride-vinyl acetatemaleic anhydride copolymer and coated with adhesive compositions comprising nitrile rubber prepared from butadiene and acrylonitrile, a bisphenol A-epichlorohydrin copolymer, with or without a partially hydrolyzed vinyl chloride-vinyl acetate copolymer; a soft aluminium foil with the same primer is coated with an adhesive composition comprising a polyester-based urethane polymer, with or without a partially hydrolyzed vinyl chloride-vinyl acetate copolymer; a polyethylene terephthalate film, biaxially oriented, is coated with an ethylene-vinyl acetate copolymer by direct extrusion. Other film backings mentioned are stretch oriented bisphenol-epichlorohydrin copolymer, stretch oriented polycarbonate film where the adhesive is applied as a hot melt coating or by transfer coating, unplasticised polyvinyl chloride. Other adhesives are polyether urethanes and mixtures thereof with polyurethanes and vinylcopolymers.
