    摘要: A dispensing cap permits the contents of a canister to be heated prior to being dispensed. The cap includes a dispensing mechanism and is designed to be mounted to the top of a canister containing a product. Small apertures spaced about the cap permit heated water from a faucet or other source to enter the cap and flow over the top of the canister below and within the cap. The heated water warms the top of the canister, interior dispensing mechanism, and the contents of the canister. As a result, the contents of the canister are warm when dispensed. When used with a shaving cream or gel canister, for example, the heated contents provide a more comfortable shave than contents dispensed at a colder room temperature.

    摘要: A heat transfer cap assembly for use with a dispensing canister containing a pressurized product, such as shaving gel. The cap assembly defines a volume for retaining hot tap water to heat gel in a thermal conductor forming a conduit between a nozzle adaptor and an outlet in the side of the cap assembly. When the nozzle is released, the conduit moves out of alignment with the outlet so as to block any nulldroolnull of the gel remaining in the conduit during later expansion. The outer cap is rotatable to a lock position to disallow activation of the nozzle and to further block the outlet.

Each heating chamber is formed in part by channels on an exterior surface of a relatively massive heat sink unit having an electrical resistance heating element associated therewith. The channels are sealed by a cover assembly comprising a first member of relatively thin plastic material adapted to withstand the temperature of the product, and a second member of relatively thick flexible material coextensive with and superimposed over the first member which urges the first member into sealing engagement with the margins of the channel.

    摘要: A unit for electrically heating and dispensing products from pressurized containers. The unit receives a pressurized container, and, upon actuation of the container valve, directs the product through a series of passages, including one or more heating chambers, steam traps, and the like, to the outlet openings from which the product is dispensed. Depending on the predetermined configuration of the openings in the dispensing nozzle of an associated product container, the dispenser is adapted to direct the product into one or more heating chambers alternatively, or into two or more chambers simultaneously. Each heating chamber is formed in part by an exterior surface of a relatively massive heat sink unit having an electrical resistance heating element associated therewith and controlled by an adjustable thermostat. Electric current is supplied to the element and the control through a connector which affords mechanical strength, electrical insulation and which provides a water-tight connection. The passages directing the product to one or more of the heat exchangers are located within a cover element closely overlying the heat sink and the thermostat. Since typical products dispensed by the novel unit are highly viscous, the containers thereof should be stored in the inverted position and accordingly, containers are constructed so as to facilitate inverted storage and to prevent unintentional upright storage.
