摘要： A trash can assembly has a shell, a liner fitted inside the shell, a lid fitted over the top end of the shell, a foot pedal positioned adjacent the bottom end of the shell, a link assembly coupling the foot pedal and the lid, and a support block provided adjacent the bottom end of the shell for supporting the liner in a raised position with respect to the shell. In use, the user can fit a trash bag inside the liner, and then seat the liner inside the shell. To replace the trash bag, the user can raise the liner with respect to the interior of the shell, and support the liner on the support block in a raised position with respect to the shell when removing the trash bag.

The container may include one or more walls and a pair of gussets extending from a top end of the container, wherein each of the pair of gussets includes a cavity facing an opposing gusset of the pair of the gussets. The lid may include a pair of hinge components, each of the pair of hinge components including a pivot pin and a stop pin, the lid being hingedly coupled to the container via a coupling of the hinge components and the pair of gussets. Further, the stop pin of each of the pair of hinge components may be configured to contact the corresponding gusset when the lid is opened to a predetermined angle and prevent the lid from opening beyond the predetermined angle.

The liner is received inside the interior space, and has a top peripheral edge that defines a mouth. The liner further includes first and second catch plates spaced apart from each other and provided adjacent the top peripheral edge. The trash bag is retained inside the liner, and has a top edge, with a first portion of the top edge of the trash bag folded over the top peripheral edge of the liner and engaging the first catch plate, and a second portion of the top edge of the trash bag folded over the top peripheral edge of the liner and engaging the second catch plate.

The body is made of cardboard and provided with a closed side wall and having multiple longitudinal seams and latitudinal seams formed on an outer periphery of the body to allow the body to be folded to be compact. The bottom open end has multiple bends formed on a peripheral edge of the bottom open end and each bend being separated from one another via a gap defined between two adjacent bends. Each bend is attachable to an adjacent bend via an adhesive agent applied to each of the bends.
