    摘要: Apparatus for use in a storage and retrieval system for product held in containers is provided. The apparatus includes multiple, parallel spaced-apart support members (41) defining a plurality of rows (20), each adapted to support a base of a plurality of containers thereby forming a container store. One or more conveying means (44) is engageable with containers in a row (20) to transport the containers longitudinally within that row, the conveying means (44) movable transverse and below the rows. One or more loading means (45) is movable transverse to the rows (20) along an end of the rows to enable loading of one or more containers into a selected row. A computer control system automatically controls operation of the loading means and conveying means. The loading means (45) may include a transfer conveyor (49) extending beneath at least a portion of said rows and moveable transverse to said rows below said rows. Product may be stored in a bulk storage zone (27) in which containers of product are stored in frames (50), an intermediate storage zone (40) and a low storage zone (65). A first automated retrieval system retrieves selected stacks of containers from the intermediate storage zone (40), and a second automated retrieval system retrieves individual containers, partial stacks or stacks of containers from the low storage zone (65). Product orders are collated at a collation zone (34) and a conveying means (19) is in communication with each zone for delivering product between zones. Methods of storage and retrieval are also claimed.

    摘要: A system and method for order packing forms a mixed pallet or a mixed multi-pack. In this system, a first embodiment utilizes a high volume module, a low volume module, a sorting and packing module, a prepackage module and a mixed palletizer module for picking, sorting, packaging and palletizing articles. In a second embodiment of the present invention, a bulk load can be fed via a carrousel to a bank of elevators. A transfer device will load different levels of the elevators which can then be moved adjacent a discharge conveyor. A lane is provided in this discharge conveyor for each of the elevators in the bank of elevators. The different levels of the elevators are positioned adjacent the lanes and can discharge articles onto the conveyor in order to form groups of the same or different types of articles. Many different types of articles including beverage containers such as cans, bottles or beverage boxes can use this system. A pallet is formed from the same or different sized package and different varieties of articles can be placed within a single package.

    摘要: The invention relates to a three-dimensional goods storage arrangement (1) which comprises a system of beams with a number of levels and, arranged in these and extending in two main directions (5, 7), passages/channels (3, 6) for goods. A lift (9) is included together with transport elements (4, 8) and is controlled by control elements and sensors (14). The elements (14) comprise means (15a) for automated transfer of goods. Each level or section thereof comprises a passage or channel (3) ex tending in the first main direction. A carriage (4) can be driven so as to be able to position the carriage in line with a number of second passages or channels (6, 6′, 6″), which are located alongside one another and which extend in the second main direction (7). A satellite can be driven onto or off of the carriage at the respective second passage or channel. A selected second passage or channel (6″), at its end facing away from the first passage or channel, is designed to allow goods to be input into and output from the level or the level section via the lift (9) thereof and by means of the associated satellite (8). Said means comprise receiving elements (15b) for time or date information concerning the arrival and expected dispatch of the goods in question and, with this information, can influence the automated transfer of goods in order to shorten the time at dispatch.
