摘要: A sheet feeding apparatus includes an accommodating unit, and a conveyance unit. The conveyance unit includes a first guide member, a second guide member, walls on both sides, a conveyance roller, and a first cover. The walls on both sides are arranged on both sides of the first guide member and the second guide member in a width direction perpendicular to a sheet conveyance direction. Together with the first guide member and the second guide member, the walls on both sides forms a space of a conveyance path through which a sheet is conveyed. The conveyance roller is disposed to project toward the conveyance path via a first opening of the first guide member and conveys the sheet in the conveyance path. The first cover encloses the space of the conveyance path in such a manner that the first cover covers the first opening and the conveyance roller.

摘要: In a post-processing device (sheet discharge device), a pile thickness calculating section calculates, from a type and the number of paper sheets discharged through a sheet output port, a thickness of a pile, at its leading end, of sets of paper sheets on a sheet output tray (piling section), calculates a thickness of the pile, at its trailing end, of sets of paper sheets on the sheet output tray from an amount of movement of a lifting section, and calculates an angle of inclination of the uppermost set of paper sheets in the pile from the thicknesses of the pile at its leading and trailing ends, a height of inclination of the sheet output tray, and a length of the paper sheets. The control section controls the sheet discharge section to change a manner of discharging a subsequent set of paper sheets according to the calculated angle of inclination.

摘要: A sheet stacker includes a sheet stacking member, a biasing force applier, an angle setter, and a regulator. The sheet stacking member has an upstream portion in a sheet conveyance direction. The upstream portion is movable in a vertical direction. The biasing force applier is configured to apply a biasing force to bias the sheet stacking member upward. The angle setter is configured to set an angle of the sheet stacking member in the sheet conveyance direction, relative to a sheet conveying portion, between a first angle and a second angle. The regulator is configured to regulate movement of the sheet stacking member in a case in which the upstream portion of the sheet stacking member is located closer to the sheet conveying portion at either the first angle or the second angle.

摘要: A card embossing system for embossing information onto a sheet of material prior to cutting individual cards from the sheet is disclosed. Information is embossed onto the sheet in a pattern of rows and columns. Information on adjacent columns is offset relative to one another. When individual cards are cut from the sheet, they are collected in a receiving tray having a plurality of cells arranged in a pattern of rows and columns such that adjacently stacked cards have embossing which is offset from one another. This prevents nesting of cards and allows for improved feeding from a hopper into a machine for further processing, such as printing or embossing individualized information on each card.

摘要: The present invention relates to an apparatus for depositing a sheet on a stack (11), preferably for a delivery unit of a printing machine, which said apparatus comprises at least one stacking device which can be driven so as to rotate about an axis of rotation in order to grasp and deposit the sheet, and comprises at least one drag element (1), which is arranged on the stacking device and carried along during rotation, whereby said drag element (1) is provided for shifting the last deposited sheet, in particular, for pulling said sheet toward a stack abutment (12). The present invention is to solve the problem of making the operation of aligning the last deposited sheet more reliable and precise. In accordance with the invention, this problem has been solved in that at least one drag element (1) is arranged, relative to the axis of rotation, on the radial exterior side of the at least one stacking member (13, 14, 17).
