    摘要： A wire spool for winding therearound a tying wire has a cylindrical wire winding body. A pair of flanges are integrally formed on both axial ends of the wire winding body. One of the flanges has formed on an outer periphery thereof a pair of notches in close proximity to each other. Between those sides which form one of the notches, that side which lies closer to the other of the notches is formed so as to expand an opening of said one of the notches. Between those sides which form the other of the notches, that side which lies farther from said one of the notches is provided with an overhung portion so as to narrow an opening of the other of the notches.

    摘要： A method of manufacturing a coil (1) of a continuous flexible object (2), such as cable and line, and enveloping the coil to form a parcel (27) for delivery to a user, said object (2) being coiled onto an axially open, cylindrical sleeve (28) to produce said coil. According to the invention the sleeve (28) is provided with two protective rings (29, 30) and is brought to be fixed by a first tool (9) so that the sleeve (28) is firmly clamped between two parallel side supports (10, 11) and centered by centering elements (24) of the side supports, whereby a first rotatable unit (36) is formed. The cable or line (2) is attached to said first unit (36) and the unit (36) is brought to rotate in a coiling machine (3) so that the cable or line is formed to said coil (1). When the cable or line has been cut, a protective casing (40) is brought to surround the coil ( 1) between the protective rings (29, 30), and a plurality of bands (41) are brought to surround the sleeve (28) from the inside thereof, the protective rings (29, 30), the protective casing (40) and the coil (1) enclosed within these parts, without engagement with the side supports (10, 11), after which the bands (41) are tightened and their ends joined in a strong joint to form said parcel (27). A system is also described for handling the cable or line which is prepared and enveloped in the manner described, as well as tools of the structure described above and cable or line parcels manufactured according to said method.

    摘要： A spool including a barrel having a flange at each axial end is provided with a yarn end retainer. The yarn end retainer comprises a plate secured to one spool flange adapted to have at least a partial yarn convolution wrapped thereabout and a catch member which cooperates with means on the flange for retaining the yarn tail in selected positions. The flange is provided with a radial slot having a base, the inner end of which is flush with the barrel periphery such that the yarn can be directed from the catch member, around the plate and through the flange slot directly to the barrel periphery for winding thereon.

    摘要： A spool assembly comprises a spindle formed as a tubular section having an inner surface and two end faces. A guiding notch is furnished in each end face of the spindle. A locking opening is furnished near each end of the spindle. The spool assembly further comprises two flanges. Each flange includes a disk and a hub. Each hub is centeredly and fixedly attached to each disk and has a tubular shape such that an outer face of each hub matches the inner surface of the spindle. A guiding member protrudes outwardly from each hub for engaging a respective one of the guiding notches to rotate the spindle relative to each hub into a proper aligned position with respect to each hub as the spool assembly is assembled. A locking member is provided on each hub for engaging a respective one of the locking openings such that, upon insertion of each hub into a respective end of the spindle, a connection between the hubs and the spindle is obtained which is stable against pulling forces in an axial direction.
