摘要: A portable blending system that blends cleaner burning additives such as ethanol with unblended gasoline. Its portability enables locating the system at a user's site thereby enabling fuel blending at selected locations. The portable blending system includes a modular platform having a skid base that includes at least two longitudinally extending channels sized to accommodate a fork lift truck's forks, at least one feedpipe releasably attached to a user's storage tank that stores a selected liquid component such as ethanol or biodiesel, a loading arm assembly for transferring the selected liquid component to a tanker truck that stores a second liquid component such as a base gasoline, and electrical means having at least one conduit that connects the blending system to an external power source. The blending system can also includes a programmable logic controller, a vapor recovery adapter and an overfill monitor and overfill alarm.

摘要: A method and related system blend fuels and dispense a blended fuel to a vehicle at a fueling station. In one aspect, the method comprises selecting the desired proportion of at least one of the fuels available at the service station, blending that fuel with another one available, and delivering the blended fuel to the vehicle. Preferably, the first fuel is a non-renewable, petroleum based one, while the second fuel is a non-petroleum based, renewable one (such as ethanol or biodiesel).

摘要: A self-contained bio fuel trans load has a heating apparatus to allow different feed stock bio fuels to be trans loaded from a rail car to a vehicle or storage container. Several mechanical apparatus are incorporated into a single, self-contained unit which allows a safe and metered trans load of bio fuels from one point to another for the growing alternative energy market. The heating apparatus allows the bio fuel to be heated if necessary due to feed stock and pour point. The self-contained unit allows for distribution and metering of the bio fuel onto a vehicle for resale. The self-contained unit can be located at the most convenient site to achieve a minimum expenditure and liability.

摘要: The invention provides methods and systems for selecting and blending conventional fuel components into fuel compositions using an input system and for supplying a selected fuel composition into a storage container. The methods and systems incorporate a mixer to mix at least one conventional petroleum-derived fuel component received from the conventional fuel component supply system with at least one second non-petroleum fuel component received from the second fuel component supply to form fuel compositions. The present invention provides for systems and methods of supplying selected blends of conventional petroleum fuel with a non-petroleum derived fuel to provide greater consumer accessibility for petroleum blended with alternative fuels.

摘要: Methods and devices for transporting, cleaning or storing materials such as alternative fuels like shelled corn or wood pellets. Material is transferred to a first container through a transfer conduit as a result of negative pressure created by a vacuum. Small, lighter impurities such as corn dust, red-eyes, bees-wings and the like are removed from the material by the vacuum as the material enters the first container. The material then passes from the first container to a second container. The material is then transferred through the second container by way of a paddlewheel which is driven by a motor. As the material exits the second container it passes through a screen which prevents large, heavier impurities such as stones, husks and the like from passing. The cleaned material then enters either a storage container or a holding compartment where it can be stored or consumed as fuel.

摘要: A fueling and associated vapor recovery system maintains the same, or lower, vacuum level in the vapor hose during ORVR vehicle refueling as that seen during a non-ORVR refueling. A valve assembly is made as either a part of the end of the vapor recovery hose assembly, a separate unit that is placed between the hose assembly and the nozzle, or incorporated directly into the nozzle. The valve assembly is biased to one position by a spring to which is attached a sliding valve member. The force of the spring is sufficient to keep the valve member in the original position when refueling non-ORVR vehicles so that the vapor hose is unobstructed and an air bleed hole is closed. When refueling an ORVR vehicle, the elevated vacuum level moves the valve member to a second position which blocks off the vapor hose from the vacuum pump and opens up the vapor hose to the air bleed hole.
