摘要： Arrangement for the biological cleaning of water, said arrangement being suitable for large urban stations for cleaning sewage or for the cleaning of waste waters of industrial plants. The arrangement comprises an activating system with pneumatic aeration and a separating system communicating therewith, the arrangement operates on the basis of fluid filtration and automatic return of activated sludge into the activating system by gravitation. Suitable partition walls in a large container form a number of part activating spaces and part separating spaces; by suitable interconnections, by rectifying walls, by the supply of raw water, and by aeration a convenient streaming flow of the liquid and an advantageous operation of the arrangement are obtained.

摘要： Wastewater is directed into an aerobic treatment tank which is divided by a partition into an aeration chamber and a settling chamber. The waste material is aerated in the aeration chamber and then directed into the settling chamber. Any solids in the settling chamber settle out and are pumped back into the aeration chamber through a sludge return conduit wherein the returning sludge is saturated with air. The treated liquid is discharged to a drainage area in a colorless, odorless form. The pipes which direct the liquid through the tank are oriented to impede the passage of solids through the system, thereby keeping the solid wastes in the aeration chamber.

摘要： An aerobic bacteria sewage treatment apparatus using compressed air to aerate activated sludge, and to cause it to circulate about a cylindrical clarification compartment placed in the apparatus in a way to provide a zone of relative quiescence in the flowing sewage from which the clarification compartment withdraws liquid and further separates solid matter therefrom, finally delivering a very well clarified effluent, the effluent pipe being placed in the clarification compartment such that heavier particles tend to sink away from it and lighter particles tend to rise above it, whereby the effluent is substantially free of solid matter.

摘要： A self contained sewage treatment aerobic digestion system comprises a large cylindrical, horizontally oriented fiber glass tank with an influent opening near the top of one end and an effluent opening slightly lower in the opposite end. A first partition which arises from the bottom almost to the top of the tank forms with the first end wall a pretreatment chamber. Inflow and outflow openings are offset to provide uniform circulation in the chamber. A second sloping partition divides the remainder of the tank into a central aeration chamber and a final clarifier chamber. An air diffuser line is positioned upward along one side of the central chamber near the bottom of the tank to diffuse air into the aeration chamber and to promote circulation. Openings in the second partition at and beneath water level flow aerated liquid into the clarifier tank. A skimmer projecting through the second partition returns floating solids from the clarifier to the aeration chamber. An opening at the bottom of the second partition in cooperation with the sloping wall of the partition and the sloping second end wall flows precipitated solids from the clarifier back into the aeration chamber. A weir near the effluent opening controls level of fluid within the tank, and a trough between the weir and the effluent opening provides tertiary chemical treatment of the wastewater. Manways above the first partition and above the clarifier provide access to the chambers when the entire tank system is installed underground.

CONSUMING THEM BY ADSORPTION AND ABSORPTION THE FLOW OF INFLUENT THROUGH EACH BRANCH OF THE MANIFOLD IS SPEARATELY CONTROLLED SO AS TO MAINTAIN THE NUTRIENT FEED LEVEL OF THE MIXED LIQUOR UNIFORM THROUGHOUT THE TANK. THE MIXED LIQUOR PASSES FROM THE AERATION TANK TO A CLARIFIER WHICH IS ALSO MAINTAINED AT THE SAME PRESSURE AS THE TREATMENT TANK.

摘要： An apparatus for treating sewage to obtain substantially complete organic matter substrate and biological sludge oxidation prior to effluent discharge in a treatment system comprising a series of treatment chambers in a single unit; each treatment chamber having a generally circular peripheral crosssectional configuration, conduit means in each treatment chamber for directing the flow of mixed liquor in each chamber, gas supply means for supplying an oxygen containing gas to each treatment chamber so as to cause a continuous flow pattern of mixed liquor in the treatment chamber; inlet means for supplying raw sewage to the first treatment chamber of the series; outlet means for withdrawing clarified effluent from the last treatment chamber of the series; and fluid communication means for providing fluid communication between an intermediate top portion of each successive treatment chamber of the series. The system is preferably designed to provide environments suitable for microorganism growth and development through sewage organic matter consumption in the first treatment of the series, microorganism population maintenance in the next successive treatment chamber of the series and microorganism autodigestion in latter treatment chambers of the series, thereby providing an effluent substantially free of digestable organic matter and biological sludge.
