    摘要: Embodiments of the present invention pertain to a drop hammer comprising a load, an actuator connected to the load, and a fluid circuit that is connected to the actuator and is connectable to a fluid source, such as a source of hydraulic power. The fluid circuit is operable with differential pressure to displace the load. The fluid circuit includes a slow-release device for releasing differential pressure, thereby slowly displacing the load as a function of flow from the fluid source. Embodiments of the present invention also pertain to a drop hammer comprising a frame, a selectively actuated rotatable sprocket mounted on the frame, a hammer implement, and at least one chain engaged by the sprocket. The chain includes two-pitch link that includes a catch between two pitched wings, the catch being configured for engaging the hammer implement, enabling the first chain to displace the hammer implement. Other embodiments pertain to a drop hammer that includes a frame and a selectively actuated hammer implement displaceably mounted on the frame. The hammer implement includes a collar surrounding an impact tool.

    摘要: A device for breaking concrete and similar frangible materials to reduce it to rubble includes a power plunger and an actuator plunger mounted within a casing. The casing is carried on and operated by construction equipment such as a back hoe. As the back hoe is operated to cock the power plunger by moving the actuator plunger toward the concrete surface, a trigger mechanism affixed to the actuator plunger lifts the power plunger and an associated latch member to load a coil spring associated with the power plunger and presses against the latch member. As the coil is fully compressed, the trigger mechanism engages a trigger operating abutment and releases the latch member. The coil spring then fires the power plunger against the concrete. An improved trigger mechanism and latch member are provided with essentially spherical latching edge portions which compensate for misalignment of the power and actuator plungers due to wear of their bearings and the torsional effect of loading the coil spring, increasing the life of the parts and reducing the frequency of necessary repairs. The arrangement and shape of the latching edges are such that further coil spring compression is avoided when the latch member is released. In its preferred and simplist form, the trigger and latch members are produced from cast solid steel blocks welded to their respective plungers.

    摘要: A concrete breaker includes a wheeled frame having front and rear wheels, a blade frame pivotally mounted to the wheeled frame between the front and rear wheels, and a heavy concrete breaking blade slideably mounted to the blade frame for busting concrete. The blade frame is pivotally moveable by a hydraulic cylinder assembly over-center to a stable transport position, and further is moveable over-center to an upright position on the wheeled frame for use. Wheels on the blade frame rest on the concrete being broken and support the operating weight of the blade frame and the blade when the blade is in use. The blade frame is moveable relative to the wheeled frame to reduce transmission of vibration from the blade and blade frame to the wheeled frame. The hydraulic cylinder assembly is connected between the blade frame and the wheeled frame and acts as a draw-bar-like member during use of the concrete breaker to overcome torsional forces on the blade frame as wheels on the blade frame engage rough terrain such as broken or irregular concrete under the blade frame. A hydraulic system is connected to the blade to raise the blade to a lifted position, and includes a double line discharge to exhaust hydraulic fluid from the cylinder without restriction when the blade is hydraulically released and dropped onto the cement to break the cement.

    摘要: The present invention is a self-contained hydraulic hammer which is mounted on a hydraulically mobile frame. The hydraulic hammer is capable of travelling in either forward or reverse directions and is provided with liftable weights to which a tool for digging or breaking up a surface is attached. The hydraulic hammer is equipped with time delay controls which: 1) momentarily stop the travel of the hydraulic hammer as the weights and the attached digging tool free fall from a raised position until the digging tool impacts the surface to be busted up, and 2) cause the hydraulic hammer to resume travel as the weights are again raised in preparation for another impact. The hydraulic hammer rapidly repeats these cycles of impact and travel to break up a surface. Adjustments are provided on the hydraulic hammer for regulating the force of the impact and the distance travelled between impacts in order to match the hydraulic hammer's impact and travel cycles to the break characteristics of the surface to be removed.

    摘要: An impact tool for loosening and breaking homogeneous material such as compacted or frozen earth, black top and concrete. The tool is adapted to be mounted on the boom of a backhoe or the like, and it is powered by the hydraulic system of the apparatus on which it is mounted or by a separate system. A tool element, such as a hardened point, in integral with or mounted on an anvil arranged for limited longitudinal movement in a housing. A hammer coacting with the anvil is energized by a spring, preferably a pneumatic spring. A hydraulic cylinder moves the hammer against the spring, and when the spring is compressed in desired amount, the piston rod of the cylinder is cammed away from the hammer, thereby permitting the spring to drive the hammer with great force against the anvil. The tool is arranged so that operation thereof occurs only when the tool element or point is positioned against the work and the movable anvil has an inward relation with its housing, thereby providing a ''''dead man'''' control feature. In basic form the tool has a single hammer and a single cylinder. Modifications of the basic tool contemplate a double cylinder, single hammer device which increases the frequency of operation by a factor of two, and a double cylinder, double hammer device which in effect is the combination of two single hammer, single cylinder devices in a single tool.
