The epoxy resin and the aggregate are present in the grout mixture in an epoxy resin:aggregate weight ratio of about 0.09. A removable manhole cover is carried by the manhole frame. A manhole cover assembly fabrication method is also disclosed.

摘要： A watertight manhole insert and tether locking apparatus and method of use designed to prevent unauthorized entry into a sanitary sewer or other closed drainage system through a manhole closed by a manhole cover. The manhole insert is located beneath the manhole cover and is connected to the manhole by a tether apparatus in the manhole to prevent water entry into the manhole, theft of the manhole insert and to deny access to the manhole. The manhole insert includes a pan-shaped insert body having pressure-relief valve and a lift strap and a side wall fitted with a top rim for engaging a shoulder shaped in the manhole, to support the manhole insert in the manhole. In a preferred embodiment one end of a flexible stainless steel tether is connected to the bottom side of the manhole insert and the opposite end extends through a pair of oppositely-disposed anchor rings fixed to the manhole wall beneath the manhole insert and then through an opening in the manhole insert and a locking device on the top of the manhole insert. When the manhole insert is placed in the manhole, the tether is tightened in the anchor rings as it is pulled upwardly through the locking device and is locked at the locking device.

摘要： An aircraft servicing pit located beneath a surface across which aircraft travel while on the ground is provided with a ladder and a pair of reciprocally retractable handrails on each side of the ladder. Each of the handrails has an inverted "J-shaped" configuration. With the lid open the handrails can be drawn up out of the pit and rotated so that their legs can rest upon the tarmac surface at the edge of the pit. Service personnel utilizing the pit are thereby provided with stabilizing hand grips which enhance their safety when entering and leaving the subsurface chamber within the pit. When the pit is to be closed the retractable handrails are lifted, rotated, and lowered to their fully retracted storage positions.

摘要： An underground storage vault having a hatch affixed to a hatchway. The underfloor storage vault may be incorporated into a larger structure such that the surface of the vault's hatch may be flush with the surrounding floor, allowing for the hatch to be easily concealed. Once the concealment has been removed, fasteners can be undone so that the hatch can be removed from inhibiting access to the hatchway. Valuables and possessions can be stored in the vaults storage compartment and safely secured by re-affixing the hatch to the vault's hatchway.

The tunnel connector includes a U-shaped enclosure wall, a staircase, a first lateral wall, and a second lateral wall. The first lateral wall and the second lateral wall are connected perpendicular to the staircase across each other to provide lateral protection. The U-shaped enclosure wall includes a first sidewall, a second sidewall, and an interconnecting sidewall. The interconnecting sidewall is terminally connected in between the first sidewall and the second sidewall. The first lateral wall is adjacently connected to the first sidewall, opposite the interconnecting sidewall. Similarly, the second lateral wall is adjacently connected to the second sidewall, opposite the interconnecting sidewall. The tunnel connector is installed in between a floorboard of the trailer house and the in-ground storm shelter.
