摘要: An interlocking gutter system with perforations in the visor allows for the maximum amount of water drainage while blocking debris from entering the gutter. The gutter trough has an increasing radius as it approaches the downspout, to increase the capacity for carrying water. In the event that debris does enter the gutter, the interlocking mechanism can be disengaged, thereby allowing the gutter trough to drop away from the visor, dumping accumulated debris with minimal effort. The perforations in the visor can be patterned and sized in order to block the most common debris encountered in that installation. The gutter may allow water to enter the trough via a coanda slot in addition to perforations in the visor. The gutter system may have multiple troughs to further assist in draining a maximum amount of water. In the event of a clog, the system is emptied using an endcap.

摘要: In its simplest from, the hidden rain gutter of the present invention consists of a trough having a closed cross-sectional contour that is enclosed for the most of its periphery, having an opening in its upper section adjacent to the drain opening in the roof surface layer through which rainwater is introduced into the trough. The hidden rain gutter of the present invention is configured with at least one drainage outlet and at least one distal end spaced apart from the drainage outlet. The hidden rain gutter element defines a drainage vector between the distal end and the drainage outlet In one preferred deployment of the hidden rain gutter of the present invention the drainage vector is parallel to the plane of the roof surface layer with the distal end deployed higher on the slope of the roof than the drainage outlet such that rainwater falling into the rain gutter element is directed toward the drainage outlet. In a most preferred deployment, the roofing system includes a roofing underlay deployed on the roof structural frame with the roof surface layer supported above the roofing underlay by battens and counter-battens. The planes of the roofing underlay and the roof surface layer are, therefore, substantially parallel and spaced apart at a distance of approximately 6-12 centimeters therebetween. The hidden rain gutter of the present invention is configured for deployment in that space provided between the roofing underlay and the roof surface layer.

摘要: A sloped gutter assembly provides for the controlled discharge of runoff water from a structure roof. The gutter assembly includes a first elongated gutter section having a bottom and upstanding side walls that collectively define a U-shaped cross-section. The first gutter section is characterized by an upstream end and a downstream end, wherein the side walls are tapered progressively from the upstream end to the downstream end. This taper defines a cross-section of progressively reduced dimension. A plurality of mounting brackets are spaced apart and integrally attached to one of the upstanding sidewalls, and attach the first elongated gutter section to the structure. Finally, the gutter assembly includes a screen that is hingedly attached along one side to the upstanding side wall disposed adjacent the structure. The screen is further disposed to overlie the opposing gutter side wall, and therefore the gutter channel. In this way, the screen serves to prevent leaves and other debris from entering or collecting within the gutter channel. Preferably, the screen is elevated on the hinged side to slope downwardly toward the opposing side. The gutter assembly further includes a downspout section that telescopically receives the downstream end of the first gutter section. A hole is disposed in the bottom of the downspout section for receiving a downspout.

摘要: A method of making and installing a rain gutter includes the step of providing a gutter of PVC material and attaching the gutter along the eaves of a structure to collect rain water draining from the roof of the structure. A downspout connector of PVC is attached to one end of the gutter utilizing a chemical welding process such that the PVC material in the connector and gutter fuse together to form a single integral piece. The connector is formed so as to redirect water draining from the gutter to a vertical direction, to thereby enter a downspout. Support brackets for the gutters are also manufactured of PVC, and attached to the gutter utilizing the chemical welding process, such that the support brackets become an integral part of the gutter. A special clamp is utilized to connect adjacent pieces during the chemical welding process to insure that the parts are fused together to form an integrated unit. In the preferred form out of the invention, conventional PVC pipes and various components are cut in half to form gutter lengths, T-shaped connectors, and elbows for use in the gutter system.

摘要: An improvement in endcaps for use with a rain gutter, the improvement having an endcap defining an end wall that extends diagonally upwardly from the rain gutter past the longitudinal extension of the fascia board to which the rain gutter is connected and beneath a portion of the shingles extending beyond the fascia board. The extended endcap receives runoff water falling from the aforesaid portion of the shingles and conducts the runoff water within the rain gutter.
