摘要： A precast concrete step unit formed of left and right sidewalls, risers, and treads, wherein left and right sidewalls are assembled from a plurality of pre-cast sidewall panel modules, with a stepped panel module with two or more steps. Pre-cast concrete riser modules and tread modules extend between the right and left sidewalls. Reinforcing cross brace members are fastened to the inside distal surfaces of the left and right sidewalls where they are bolted into screw anchors embedded into the sidewalls. There are also screw anchor inserts embedded into the proximal ends of the sidewalls and into the ends of a first or lowest of the risers, and adapted for affixing the riser and sidewalls using clip angles or right-angle brackets. After alignment, the treads and remaining risers are installed using a construction adhesive which may be applied using a caulk gun. The precast modules each weight about 200 pounds or less, with none exceeding 250 pounds, and most much less. The installation can be carried out by an installation team of two workmen. One-piece concrete footing pieces can be used to support the lower edges of the sidewall panel modules.

摘要： An exemplary stair nosing assembly comprises an elongated base, a plate adhered to the base, and a cover temporarily covering the base and the plate. The base has at least one anchor portion extending downwardly from the upper portion for attaching to a lip of a tread pan and/or embedding in a concrete tread. The plate can have various features to enhance traction and visibility. The cover has front and rear lips that engage with front and rear edges of the base, and a weakened region adjacent the rear lip. When the assembly is embedded in a concrete tread, the cover is configured to fracture at the weakened region when the front lip of the cover is lifted upward from the base, leaving the rear lip remaining embedded in the concrete and allowing the rest of the cover to be removed to expose upper surfaces of the base and plate.

摘要： A combined stair screed and float device for quickly and efficiently spreading and smoothing wet concrete comprising a generally shoe shaped member with a vertically and horizontally adjustable top guide and base bar to rest on riser forms. In operation, a user rests the top guide and the base bar on two riser forms with a pointed corner finder floating over the concrete at the desired corner position. The user grasps a grip portion and a handle and guides the device across the tread in a simultaneous screed and float step preparing a smooth surface for finishing. The device is both vertically and horizontally adjustable to accommodate a full range of conceivable step heights, tread lengths, toe kick overhang lengths, and corners.

摘要： The present disclosure concerns embodiments of a stair nosing that can be installed on a concrete tread. The nosing has an upper surface that is formed with a plurality of openings or apertures that can be any of various shapes such as a diamond, square, rectangular, circle, oval, triangle, or various combinations thereof. In an exemplary embodiment, the nosing is formed from a piece of expanded metal defining a pattern of diamond-shaped apertures. The nosing can be formed by bending an anchor portion such as two side portions of the piece of expanded metal downwardly with respect to a central portion of the metal piece. When forming a concrete tread, the two bent side portions are inserted into the uncured or wet concrete, and therefore serve as an anchor for securing the nosing to the tread.
