    摘要: A kinetic façade system visible at night which includes a plurality of flapping panels which move in response to wind, thereby providing an aesthetic, architectural exterior. The flappers are hung on rung subassemblies. The rungs overhang each other in a stacked vertical fashion about the face of a building, each rung including a housing. An LED is disposed within the rung housing positioned near the top thereof situated on a seat to direct light upward. As such, when the flapper elements situated above the light move, the flappers swing through the light at random intervals and at varying degrees in response to the environmental conditions, thereby creating an effect at night along the façade of the building.

Flexible spacers ensure that the cross members remain generally parallel, while allowing the cord to flex in any direction. Each end of the cord includes a cap (e.g., nut, washer, tacking, etc., combinations thereof) to prevent edge cross members from falling off the cord.

    摘要: Embodiments of the disclosure pertain to a method of manufacturing a composite panel that includes the steps of providing a layer of porous material, and dispersing a particulate material further comprising a binder composition mixed therein onto the layer of porous material. The method includes using a vacuum to at least substantially retain the particulate material on the layer of porous material, and conveying the retained particulate material toward an application mechanism. The method also includes using the application mechanism to associate a polymeric substrate with the particulate material, and applying a backing layer onto the polymeric substrate and the particulate material. The method further includes containing the retained particulate material, the polymeric substrate, and the backing layer together for a period of time to cure the polymeric substrate, the particulate material, and the backing layer together; and completing the composite panel by removing the layer of porous material therefrom, and cleaning off residual therefrom.

    摘要: Panels usable for construction of a surface, to provide the surface with a desired appearance, durability, water, air, and fire resistance, dimensions, and weight include a layer of substrate material having first and second sides. Finish elements are positioned on the first side, while a backing material is positioned on the second side, such that the substrate bonds the finish elements to the backing material. Particulate material can also be included, such as within spaces between finish elements. Manufacture of such panels can include use of a vacuum system that acquires finish elements in a selected orientation, acquires particulate material into spaces unoccupied by finish elements, then deposits the arranged finish elements and particulate material into a mold for subsequent manufacturing steps. Use of lightweight, durable materials, such as magnesium oxide, can enable panels having a reduced thickness and weight to be manufactured, without sacrificing durability or longevity.
