Abstract:
Floor panels which are provided with a mechanical locking system including an extruded flexible tongue in a sidewardly open groove which during a vertical folding motion is bent horizontally. A tongue adapted for being received in a sidewardly open groove of a floor panel, wherein the tongue, which is an elongated extruded section, when received in the groove is bendable in a plane substantially parallel with a front face of the floor panel, such that the tongue is at least partially resiliently displaceable inside said sidewardly open groove in said plane during locking of the floor panel with another floor panel and wherein a vertical protrusion, serving as a friction connection between the tongue and the groove, is arranged at an upper or lower part of the tongue, wherein the tongue has a length in the longitudinal direction of the tongue and a total width perpendicular to the length, and the total width varies in the longitudinal direction of the tongue.

Abstract:
A surface covering kit is disclosed, comprising a plurality of generally rectangular panels (100). Each panel is provided with grooves (301, 302, 301′, 302′) forming an insertion channel (303) when two panels (100) are laid next to each other along their transverse sides (105, 105′) in a common laying plane (101). An extraneous locking element (210) is received by the insertion channel (303), the extraneous locking element (210) having a longitudinal dimension and a cross-section perpendicular to said longitudinal dimension which forms a cross with at least four cross arms. The corresponding cross arms of the insertion channel have two parallel flank surfaces (1603, 1604) each, and each of the cross arms is oriented diagonally in a plane perpendicular to the panel plane (102).
Abstract:
Floor panels (1, 1′) are shown, which are provided with a mechanical locking system having a flexible tongue (30) in a displacement groove (40), which during a vertical folding motion is displaced. Moreover, a tongue blank (50), a production method and an installation method are shown.

Abstract:
The present invention relates to a surface covering (100) comprising panels (200) and at least one extraneous locking element (300). The panels (200) are provided with respective longitudinal and transverse coupling means (400, 500) which are adapted to connect similar panels (200) at corresponding adjacent edges (211, 211′, 213, 213′). The transverse coupling means (500) are adapted to form a channel (501) in coupled condition which is adapted to receive the extraneous locking element (300). When inserted into the channel (501) formed by the transverse coupling means (500) of panels (200) in a first row (206), the extraneous locking element is adapted to extend at least partially into the groove (430) of an adjacent parallel panel in the second row (207), such that a lower surface (305) of the extraneous locking element (300) is in contact with a lower lip contact portion (433), and the upper surface (307) of the extraneous locking element (300) is in contact with an upper lip contact portion (437).
Abstract:
Floor panels are shown which are provided with a mechanical locking system consisting of an extruded flexible tongue in a sidewardly open groove which during a vertical folding motion is bent horizontally.
Abstract:
A connector for mechanically joining abutting construction elements each having a groove therein, comprising a support, at least one split tongue extending from the support, the split tongue including flexible sub-tongues having angled catches for engaging steps located in the groove. During insertion the sub-tongues are flexed toward each other and remain in a partially restored configuration. This, combined with the angled catches, reduces the space between the abutting construction elements.
