Abstract:
The invention relates to detachable connections for pieces, mainly rigid ones, and can be used, in particular, for connecting elements of building constructions, for example, transparent domes, equipment frame bodies, furniture and toy elements etc. In the joint for connecting pieces having a curved surface, which comprises projections arranged on mated sides of the pieces, said projections having bulbous widenings at their ends and necks at their bases, and complementary grooves in the form of bulbous cavities that correspond to the bulbous widenings of the projections and change into narrow channels that match the necks of the projections, and wherein the surfaces of the ends of the projections and the surfaces of the bottom of the grooves mated thereto have conical shape, and the tips of the surfaces of the ends of projections and the bottom of the cavities are arranged on opposite sides relative to the connected pieces, the side surfaces of the projections and the side surfaces of the grooves mated thereto are formed by moving a straight line along the guide path, which is the intersection line of the spherical surface with the cylindric surface formed by moving a straight line along an S-shaped guide path, and wherein the side surfaces of the projections and the side surfaces of the grooves are smoothly mated with the surfaces of the ends of projections and the surfaces of the bottom of the grooves, respectively. A joint for connecting pieces delimited by curved surfaces is created.

Abstract:
A connector for connecting a panel of a bridge platform or other scaffolding to an underlying cable for supporting the panel. First and second plates are hingedly joined. A member is attached to and extends from the first plate to a free end portion, wherein the member is adapted to be passed downwardly through a panel and cradle a cable passing below the panel then to be passed upwardly back through the opening then through an aperture in the second plate. A wedge is slidably receivable between ledges on the free end portion and the second plate for wedgedly retaining the member in the aperture. A member is attached to the second plate in a position such that it retains the wedge inseparable from the plates. The plates and wedge are inseparable from each other in each of latched and unlatched states. In another connector, the free end portion has a plurality of spaced grooves engageable by mating structure on the second plate for achieving the latched state. The mating structure comprises an elongate member in an inclined slot. The mating structure alternatively comprises a gear wheel for engaging the grooves and a pin for locking the gear wheel position, the pin being connected to one of the plates to be inseparable therefrom.
Abstract:
A device for connecting two construction components (10, 12) that are have engagement structures (16) on two connection surfaces (14) that are facing each other, in which the components (10, 12) have at least two pairs of oppositely disposed circular arc-shaped engagement structures (16) each of which extends over an angle of not more than 180° and has at least one open end, the engagement structures being arranged such that the centre of the circular arc of the engagement structure of one pair is different from the centre of the circular arc of the engagement structure of each other pair, and at least two connectors (22) are provided, each of which has engagement structures (24) complementary to the engagement structures (16) of one pair and adapted to be inserted in a rotary movement into the two engagement structures (16) from the open end.
Abstract:
A method and apparatus is provided for adjusting a latch. An apparatus comprises a latch body, a first member, and a second member associated with the latch body. A receiving area extends through at least a portion of the latch body. The first member is configured to be at least partially received within the receiving area of the latch body. The first member has a first coupling element. The second member has a second coupling element. Movement of the first member along an axis through the receiving area changes a distance between the first coupling element and the second coupling element.
Abstract:
Floor panels which are provided with a mechanical locking system including an extruded flexible tongue in a sidewardly open groove which during a vertical folding motion is bent horizontally. A tongue adapted for being received in a sidewardly open groove of a floor panel, wherein the tongue, which is an elongated extruded section, when received in the groove is bendable in a plane substantially parallel with a front face of the floor panel, such that the tongue is at least partially resiliently displaceable inside said sidewardly open groove in said plane during locking of the floor panel with another floor panel and wherein a vertical protrusion, serving as a friction connection between the tongue and the groove, is arranged at an upper or lower part of the tongue, wherein the tongue has a length in the longitudinal direction of the tongue and a total width perpendicular to the length, and the total width varies in the longitudinal direction of the tongue.
Abstract:
A method for manufacturing floor panels, wherein boards of laminate material are formed by means of a press treatment and wherein these boards are divided into several panels, from which the actual floor panels are formed. In a press treatment of the method, at least one impression is provided in the board, which at least is employed as a guiding groove for guiding the aforementioned board or the subsequently obtained panels in further treatments.
Abstract:
A screening for separating a protected area from a more accessible area includes a plurality of vertical supports with panels retained between the supports. The upper or lower ends of the panel are retained on pivot pins while the end of the panel opposite the pivot pins is removably locked to the support. The locking structure includes a latch that can be released from a position outside the enclosure and a lock that is lockable and unlockable from inside the enclosure. When the lock is actuated, the latch cannot be unlatched until the lock is subsequently unlocked.
Abstract:
A shower cubicle panel comprises a main panel element (14) of composite construction with at least two layers of different material, and means for interconnecting the cubicle panel (10) to an adjacent panel (10) and a shower tray (80). A connector for adjacent shower cubicle panels comprises a first part (36), a second part (38). The first part (36) has a first elongate channel portion (22b) for receiving an edge of a first shower cubicle panel, and a male connector portion (42). The second part (38) has a second elongate channel portion (22b) for receiving an edge of a second shower cubicle panel, and a female connector portion (50) substantially complementarily shaped to receive the male connector portion (42). A sealing element (40) is interposable between the first and second parts (36, 38) for preventing their disengagement.
Abstract:
The invention relates to a fastening system (1) for rectangular, tabular panels (2, 3, 10), especially floor panels. Comprising retaining profiles disposed on the small faces of said panels (2, 3, 10). Opposite retaining profiles match said retaining profiles in such a manner that similar panels (2, 3, 10) can be interlinked. The panels are provided with opposite first retaining profiles that are configured in such a manner that on a panel (2, 3, 10) being in first line a new panel (2) can be locked in second line by attaching the new panel (2) to the installed panel (3) at a temporary angle relative to the installed panel (3) and then swiveling it down into the plane of the installed panel (3). The panel further comprises opposite second retaining elements that comprise corresponding hook elements (6, 7). A hook connection (8) can be established by means of one of the hook elements (6, 7) of the new panel (2) and a hook element (6, 7) of a panel (3) that is already installed in second line by swiveling down the new panel (2). Every hook connection (8) is associated with an additional locking element (13, 22, 26, 27, 34, 35, 36, 40, 46) that prevents, in the hooked state of two panels (2, 3, 10), the book connection (8) from being released in a direction perpendicular to the plane of the installed panels (2, 3 10).
