A composite material and method for making the same is disclosed. Also disclosed are methods for printing the composite material and devices which are used for printing the composite material. The composite material comprises roving which is impregnated with thermoplastic material via a modified pultrusion method. The composite material is then used in 3D printing of buildings either in combination with concrete printing or alone. The composite material may be extruded in solid form or in a soft form, depending on the extruding mechanism employed by a given 3D printer. The material is printed by 3D printers employing polar coordinate system software and hardware.

The lift mechanism further comprises extendable and lockable diagonals which connect neighboring telescopic columns at their top portions in a helical fashion. The diagonals are installed for sturdiness and support as the lift is operated, as well as to position the lift at a desired height when the diagonals are locked in place. The lift mechanism may comprise 2 telescopic cylinder columns or 3 or more telescopic cylinder columns. The lift mechanism comprises at least a first stage and an intermediate stage, and optionally a last stage.

The inventive boom is provided with a substructure (14, 14′, 14″), a pillow block (32) that can be rotated around a vertical axis on the substructure and a stack of arms (16) consisting of several mast arms (34, 34′, 34″) that can be pivoted against each other. The first mast arm (34) is articulated to a hinge (36) of the pillow block (32).
