Abstract:
A wall system for basements includes a horizontally-extending floor member defining an upwardly facing channel. A first vertically-extending support beam is coupled to the floor member and defines a pair of laterally-adjacent channels separated by a center rib. A second similar support beam is laterally displaced along the floor member with respect to the first support beam. A foam panel is disposed in the upwardly facing channel of the floor member and in one of the laterally-adjacent channels of the first support beam and in one of the laterally-adjacent channels of the second support beam. The floor member, first support beam and second support beam comprise a non-organic plastic material. The foam panel comprises a closed-cell non-organic foam material. The wall system can be formed in-situ and can be configured as a free-standing wall.
Abstract:
The present invention is directed generally to trenching devices, and more particularly to a trenching device optimized for basement water proofing and other application where it may be preferable to trench near and along a vertical surface. The trenching device has been designed for ease of portability and commercial shipping.
Abstract:
A foundation reinforcement system may include an elongated beam, a first bracket assembly and a second bracket assembly. Each bracket assembly includes a shaft receiving portion and a seat portion. The seat portion includes a plurality of protruding members that protrude upwardly therefrom. The elongated beam is disposed atop the seat portion of the first bracket assembly such that at least one of the plurality of protruding members of the bracket assembly is disposed on each of opposing lateral sides of the elongated beam. The bracket assemblies are horizontally spaced-apart from each other. The elongated beam is disposed atop the seat portion of the second bracket assembly such that at least one of the plurality of protruding members of the second bracket assembly is disposed on each of opposing lateral sides of the elongated beam.

Abstract:
A foundation pier bracket system provides attachment of a pier shaft with a building or structure foundation such that the system provides securement to competent strata or soil below. The system can include a reinforcing sleeve and a bracket assembly. The bracket assembly can include a shaft receiving portion and a seat portion. The shaft receiving portion can define an aperture that is sized and shaped to receive a portion of the reinforcing sleeve therein. The seat portion can include a plurality of protruding members that protrude upwardly therefrom. The plurality of protruding members can be arranged such that they restrain lateral movement of a beam along the seat portion in at least one axis. The reinforcing sleeve can include a locking wedge that secures the reinforcing sleeve to the bracket assembly. A method of supporting a foundation of a building is also provided.

Abstract:
A water drainage edging segment includes a horizontally-extending bottom portion, a vertically extending top portion, and an angled intermediate section spanning between the bottom and top portions. The bottom portion defines a plurality of longitudinally spaced bottom channels that are oriented at one or both of a perpendicular angle and an oblique angle to the longitudinal axis of the edging segment. Each of the plurality of bottom channels are raised above a lowermost plane of the bottom portion to define an open passageway from a backside of the edging segment and laterally through the edging segment. The top portion defines a longitudinally extending upper rib portion that projects rearwardly from a front plane of the top portion to define a forward offset of the front plane and an upward facing contact surface.
