摘要: An improved anchor for lane lines of swimming pools is provided. The anchor can include housing having a cover and a support member, the housing defining an internal cavity and the cover being movable to open and close the internal cavity. An extension connector can be configured to engage the support member. With the cover closed over the internal cavity, a first end of the extension member can be secured in engagement with the support member and a second end of the extension member can extend outside of the internal cavity to support a lane line.

摘要: A line tensioning device for adjusting and maintaining consistent tension in an anchored line has a ratchet assembly and a tension indicator assembly. The tension indicator assembly secures the device to an anchoring point and permits linear movement of the ratchet assembly between the line and the anchoring point. The tension indicator assembly includes a compressed spring and a plunger with a tension indicator mark visible externally from a plunger housing above a predetermined tension force threshold.

摘要: A swimming pool lane marker for the visually impaired generally includes a perforated tube that extends the length of a swimming pool. The perforated tube is in fluid communication with a source of compressed gas, such as an air compressor. The air compressor delivers pressurized air to the tube. The pressurized air escapes through the perforations forming a line of bubbles along the swimming lane. The blind swimmer can feel these bubbles and determine his position in the swimming lane. The perforated tube is held under the water by a wire that extends between a pair of frame assemblies that connect the wire to the sidewall of the pool. Pads may be carried on the frame assemblies to protect the swimmer from the sidewall.

摘要: A wave-quelling float for marking lines extending across the surface of a body of water is provided, comprising a supporting body of lightweight plastic material; a hub in the body with a central passage therethrough for reception of a float-tethering marking line; a plurality of buoyant members arranged radially about the hub, and preferably disposed at regular intervals about the hub to float the body in a manner such that at least one-half the body is above the water with the float balanced for free rotation in the water about a float-tethering line; the body having a web portion extending radially from the hub, and a plurality of wave-quelling vanes extending laterally from the web on at least one side thereof; the vanes being spaced and shaped to receive surface surges and waves on the body of water, absorb the impact thereof as rotation of the float, and thereby quell them. The body of the float is preferably made in one piece of plastic, with pieces of buoyant material inserted in the float supports, and attached thereto.

摘要: A lane rope float having higher wave absorbing performance than before is provided. A lane rope float is one that is attached to a rope R via a tubular portion and divides lanes of a pool, and the lane rope float is characterized by: including a plurality of blades that protrude from a side surface of the tubular portion in parallel with the rope R, and a wall surface portion that is coupled to side end portions of the blades to cover the blades, in which in an outer end portion of the lane rope float from the center of the tubular portion to the wall surface portion, at least ½ of the range from the center of the tubular portion to the wall surface portion is formed along a vertical plane V2 perpendicular to the tubular portion.

摘要: A device for improving the swimming performance of a user. The device includes an upper layer made of a translucent or transparent material, a middle layer disposed adjacent the first layer and made of a reflective material, and a lower layer disposed adjacent the second layer. The third layer is made of an opaque material. Additionally, a line is disposed along a length of at least one of the upper, middle, and lower layers to assist the user in determining a position of the user, so as to correct movements of the user.

摘要: A wave suppression device, for use in suppressing large waves formed by ships, tides and wind and for use in harbor and marina areas and the demarcation of swimming areas, comprised of a cylindrical core having a plurality of fins radially extending from its outer surface. The fins are positioned substantially coextensively along the length of the core. Two disc members are circumferentially positioned substantially perpendicular about and connected to each end of the core member and fins. An opening in the core provides a means for introducing water to the hollow interior area of the assembly to provide a desired buoyancy, which opening interacts with a plug top provide a water-tight seal. The flotation assembly includes a central axial opening for receiving a cable or like device for stringing a plurality of wave suppression devices together to form a lane demarcation. A tube is located within this central axial opening, and the end of this opening contain threaded areas for receiving a bushing which secures the tube within this opening and can also secure the assembly to the cable or like stringing device.
