摘要： A waterside leisure facility is disclosed which comprises an enclosure, covering and surrounding an area of land mass, an enclosed portion of a larger body of water, the land mass having a shore front adjoined to the portion of the body of water, the enclosure further comprising a dividing wall separating the enclosed portion of water from the remaining body of water a transparent roof, joined to the dividing wall and surrounding the area of land mass, to substantially separate air in the enclosure from ambient air outside the enclosure, while letting light through the roof, water treatment means arranged to maintain the water in the enclosure at a controlled temperature, while circulating water from outside the enclosure through the enclosure; and air conditioning means arranged to maintain the ambient air inside the enclosure at a controlled temperature and/or humidity.

摘要： A water aerating device for an aquarium includes a housing having a chamber to receive a guide device which is arranged between an inlet and an outlet of the housing, a paddle wheel is rotatably attached onto the guide device, and a pumping device may be used to pump the water and to force the water to actuate the paddle wheel and to generate eddy current. Fresh air or carbon dioxide may be selectively pumped into the housing. A barrel may be used to adjustably attach the housing to the aquarium. A casing may be disposed on the barrel, to receive and collect dirt or protein carried by air bubbles that may be generated by the eddy current.

摘要： A swimming pool skimming device for skimming leaves and other floating debris from the water surface. The device includes a conduit and a connector for connecting one end of the conduit to the return flow inlet of the pool. The device also includes a trap support unit to which the other end of the conduit is connected. The unit has a shroud extending beneath the second end of the conduit and there is a porous trap which is supported by the trap support unit with the second end of the conduit spaced apart from and aimed at the trap. The trap support unit is sufficiently buoyant to support the second end of the conduit and the trap near the water surface. In use a return water flow from the return flow inlet passes through the conduit and is directed through water at the surface of the pool towards the trap. Floating matter at the surface of the water in the swimming pool is entrained in the flow and is captured in the trap.

摘要： A skimmer valve system for a swimming pool includes a skimmer mounted in a wall of the swimming pool that has an intake port coupled via a primary suction pipe to the suction system of the swimming pool, and further includes a valve mounted in the intake port of the skimmer, and a secondary suction pipe coupled into the primary suction pipe. The other end of the secondary suction pipe terminates at a coupling in a wall of the pool or a similarly convenient location for connecting a conventional pool cleaner. Adjusting the valve controls the division of the total suction between the skimmer and the pool cleaner.

摘要： A cartridge-filter cleaning spinner comprises a handheld spindle rod that can accommodate a variety of filter sizes. The spindle rod has two inward pointing slip-ring hand-tightened hubs. A cartridge filter is loaded on the spindle rod by removing one of the slip-ring hand-tightened hubs, slipping the cartridge filter onto the spindle snug against the other slip-ring hand-tightened hub, and then reinstalling the first slip-ring hand-tightened hub on the spindle rod. The cartridge filter is then free to spin around while the spindle rod handles themselves remain stationary. A water jet from a garden hose is then directed at one end of the cartridge filter to one side so the cartridge filter begins spinning. The water jet is then worked down slowly to the opposite end while keeping the spinning action going. The process is then repeated, but with the water jet directed to the other side so the cartridge filter spins in the opposite direction. This helps both sides of the longitudinal outside pleats of the cartridge filter material to come clean. The cleaning is accomplished by centrifugal action and does not involve backwashing.
