摘要： An automobile lock guard for protecting a key-operated lock cylinder to prevent unauthorized entry into the automobile trunk, comprising a guard plate having an aperture formed therethrough positioned over the lock cylinder and permanently attached to the automobile surface, a circular insert plate having a diameter larger than the lock to overlie the surrounding automobile surface to prevent punching-in of the lock, and having a key slot formed therein, and means for rotatably retaining the insert plate in the guard plate aperture to prevent retraction of the insert plate and lock through the aperture of the guard plate. The lock guard may also include means to conform the guard to automobile surfaces which are other than flat.

摘要： A cylinder lock having a body and a modified cam, the cylinder lock being adapted for moving an external element arranged to engage the modified cam, so that the external element slides axially on the cylinder lock body. In a preferred embodiment, the inventive cylinder lock is designed to utilize a helical cam which engages a movable sleeve, and this design is referred to as the HC cylinder lock. When operated by rotating the appropriate key within it, the movable sleeve can be moved in a linear fashion along the length of the HC cylinder lock thus converting rotational motion of the key to axial motion of the external element. This axial motion is used to position at least one locking bolt, of which the sleeve itself may be one, for the function of locking or unlocking a device. The streamlined design of the inventive HC cylinder lock enables efficient placement of a door lock within the hollow volume of a door.

摘要： An anti-theft device for positioning over the ignition housing of a vehicle's steering column to protect ignition and anti-theft components contained therein is disclosed. This device has armored guard means including a band which extends around the ignition housing, a cylindrical portion to protect the ignition key cylinder housing, and a cover with an ignition key slot therethrough. Means for fastening the armored guard onto the steering column in a permanent manner are also provided. This anti-theft device is passive, aesthetically pleasing, economical to manufacture, has an extremely low likelihood of mechanical failure and yet is capable of providing outstanding protection against forced entry into the ignition and anti-theft components of a vehicle.

摘要： A lock includes a lock housing and an interchangeable core including a core body, a core sleeve, and a key plug having a key slot. A bridge member is provided on a flange of the key-way disc to cover a portion of the longitudinal opening of the key slot in the key-way disc. In one embodiment, a cylinder cap is threadedly mounted on the lock cylinder housing to protect the core and a key-way disc is mounted in the cylinder cap to protect the key plug while still permitting insertion of an operating key into the key slot of the key plug. A spin-free pin is mounted for free rotation in the lock cylinder housing for blocking rotation of the protective cylinder cap in relation to the lock cylinder housing. A setscrew is provided in the lock cylinder housing to urge the spin-free blocking pin into rotation-blocking engagement with the threaded cylinder cap. In other embodiments, the cap is mounted on the lock core for removal therewith by a control key from a lock cylinder housing or a padlock case. In cases where the cap is used with a lock cylinder, a cylinder ring having a groove in an interior wall that opens toward either the cylinder cap or the lock cylinder is also provided. The exterior surface and the circumferential groove of the cylinder ring are case hardened.
