摘要: An electromechanical locking device completely contained within a doorknob which can be a part of a usual lockset or retrofitted on an existing lockset which requires entry of an access code or entry of both an access code and use of a mechanical key for operating the lock. The code is entered on a keypad exposed on the knob and supplies a signal to a computer powered by batteries. A correct match of the input code to a code stored in the computer will actuate a motor operated cam to release a mechanical interlocking pin enabling the lock cylinder to be rotated to the unlocked position. Both visual and audible signals may be provided in the doorknob as to the power level of the batteries and ready condition of the lock. The mechanical interlock pin is disengaged automatically from the lock cylinder upon the power level of the batteries dropping to a predetermined level requiring only mechanical key operation of the lock.

摘要: The invention is in respect of a lock having a body and an actuator arrangement which is displaceable relative to the body between an inoperative condition and an operative condition. The actuator arrangement is capable of operating a device such as a locking mechanism or the like only when in its operative condition. The lock further includes non-mechanical key identification means. The lock further includes retaining means for retaining the actuator arrangement releasably in its inoperative condition. The retaining means is linked to the key identification means and operative in response to a signal received therefrom to permit displacement of the actuator arrangement to its operative condition. The actuator arrangement typically includes an inner member, an outer member and a coupling whereby the inner and outer member are coupled together to permit relative longitudinal displacement between the inner and outer member and inhibit relative rotational movement.

摘要: According to one exemplary embodiment, a portion of a lock may include a stationary member having a bore, where the stationary member can be mountable to an object. The portion of the lock can also include a movable member positioned at least partially within the bore and movable relative to the bore in an unlocking direction during a normal unlocking operation. A deformable portion can be positioned adjacent an interface between the stationary member and the movable member. The deformable portion permits the movable member to move in the unlocking direction during a normal unlocking operation and is deformable to prevent movement of the movable member relative to the stationary member when subjected to excessive force applied in an attempt to move the movable member in the unlocking direction in other than a normal unlocking operation.

摘要: An electromechanical cylinder lock-key-combination which includes a key of the lock having a mechanical locking code and means for storing an electronic code and sending it into the lock, a lock body enclosing a turnable lock cylinder and locking means which normally prevent turning of the lock cylinder with regard to the lock body and which can be moved by means of the key of the lock into a releasing position allowing turning of the lock cylinder, at least one special locking disc with which the key is not in direct mechanical force transmission connection, identification and control means for receiving and identifying the electronic code from the key, and electric operating means with coupling means attached thereto and having a free position and a coupling position in which they are arranged to couple said at least one special locking disc with the turning movement of the key for opening the lock, whereby when there is a match with the correct electronic code of the key said identification and control means are arranged to activate said electric operating means to guide the coupling means into its coupling position. The coupling means includes a turnable coupling member which is located and is in cooperation with a guiding groove arranged in the special locking disc, the guiding groove being designed to comprise a guiding surface to which the coupling member affects in its coupling position thereby turning the special locking disc when the key is turned in the lock.

摘要: An electromechanical cylinder lock-key-combination includes a key having a mechanical locking code and a device for storing an electronic code and sending it into the lock. A lock body encloses a turnable lock cylinder and a locking mechanism which normally prevents turning of the lock cylinder with regard to the lock body and which can be moved by the key into a releasing position allowing turning of the lock cylinder. The lock includes a special locking disc with which the key is not in direct mechanical force transmission connection, an identification and control device for receiving and identifying the electronic code from the key, and an electric operating device with a turnable coupling member attached thereto and having a free position and a coupling position in which it couples the special locking disc with the turning movement of the key for opening the lock, whereby when there is a match with the correct electronic code of the key the identification and control device activates the electric operating device to guide the coupling member to its coupling position. The coupling member is located and is in cooperation with a guiding groove in the special locking disc, the guiding groove having a guiding surface which the coupling member affects in its coupling position thereby turning the special locking disc when the key is turned in the lock.
