The captive element includes a selectable passage into the captive space for permitting the engagement element to be selectively released or secured. The selectable passage is revealed or concealed through translation or rotation of a blocking element. In certain embodiments, the multiple function lock comprises a body, a shackle having toe and heel portions, a first locking mechanism for securing the heel portion to the body and a separate second locking mechanism for securing the toe portion to the body. The second locking mechanism is operative to engage and disengage the toe portion from the body so the shackle may rotate about the heel portion secured by the body.

摘要： By providing two separate and independent locking systems formed in a single padlock, with both locking systems independently enabling the single shackle to be released and/or lockingly engaged, in combination with a signal/indicator system constructed to provide a positive notification when one of said systems is employed, an effective, easily produced, multi-purpose signal providing padlock is achieved. In the preferred embodiment, a single housing and shackle assembly are employed and constructed for enabling the shackle to be released from locked engagement with the housing using either a rotatable dial combination construction or a key activating tumbler construction. In addition, a signal/indicator is activated whenever the key controlled locking section is employed with the signal/indicator being locked in position, for resetting by only the user/owner.

摘要： A padlock mainly comprises a lock body, a restriction device, a shackle and a locking means. The lock body has a side formed with a first hole and a recess portion, which has a surface formed with a second hole and a wall. The restriction device has a restriction button formed with a notch and a driving element extended from a bottom of the restriction button. The driving element is movably mounted in the second hole of the recess portion and the restriction button is disposed within the recess portion accordingly. Furthermore, the shackle has a base end and a free end. The base end is installed within the first hole of the side and the free end is engageable and disengageable with the notch of the restriction button. The locking means is installed in the lock body for determining the engagement and disengagement between the free end of the shackle and the notch of the restriction button.

摘要： A padlock that can be operated without using both hands is provided. The padlock mainly contains: a lock body, a shackle, a restriction device and a locking means. The shackle has a base end and a free end. The base end is pivotally installed in a side of the lock body whereby the shackle can be freely rotated about the base end without axial movement. The restriction device has a restriction button and a driving element extended from a bottom of the restriction button. The restriction button is disposed on the lock body and is formed with a notch corresponding to the free end of the shackle for restricting the same. The driving element is movably installed in the lock body. The locking means is formed in the lock body for controlling movements of the driving element in order the notch of the restriction button to be engaged with or disengaged from the free end of the shackle, wherein the notch is formed at a top of the restriction button and is extended from a edge to a center of the restriction button.

摘要： A push-button padlock having a swivel-only shackle, the free end of which is receivingly engaged by a sleeve that is reciprocable into the padlock body housing upon actuation of a thumb latch member projecting through the housing, preferably through a hole in the front face. The shackle is an inverted J-shaped shackle with the longer end entrained in the padlock body where it engages a latching mechanism which includes the thumb latch and shackle sleeve members. The thumb latch is preferably of breakaway construction and the sleeve may be rotatable. A locking mechanism of any desired type to selectively lock and unlock the latching mechanism may be employed. One preferred locking mechanism is of push-button type, and another preferred locking mechanism is a key lock mechanism, both of which are operative to selectively lock and unlock the latching mechanism that may be employed.
