摘要: Various systems and methods are presented regarding utilizing technology onboard a vehicle to minimize road traffic accidents between cyclists and vehicles. A vehicle can be operating in any of an autonomous, partially autonomous, or non-autonomous manner. By utilizing onboard technology/artificial intelligence, the vehicle can detect a cyclist navigating a street proximate to the vehicle, and further determine, if a door of the vehicle was opened, whether a car dooring incident would result involving the cyclist. In response to a determination that a car dooring incident is likely, an onboard system can prevent an occupant from opening a door likely to cause the dooring incident. Accordingly, the vehicle can preemptively adjust available operations to prevent a car dooring incident.

摘要: A locking device for a motor vehicle bonnet, wherein the locking device comprises a locking mechanism with a rotary latch and a pawl for locking the rotary latch in a main latching position. Wherein the locking device also comprises a catch hook which can define an opening movement of a lock retainer in a secure position which is between an intended closed position and an intended open position after opening the locking mechanism, wherein the catch hook comprises a load dependent barrier, and the locking device is designed such that a movement of the lock retainer in the direction of the barrier is defined by the barrier dependent on the load in the intended locked position, such that the lock retainer only goes in further than the intended closed position when there is an overload. A further developed locking device with pedestrian protection can also be provided.

摘要: A front pop-up ratch safety hook structure for an active hood of a vehicle having a front end module (FEM) including a front end carrier is provided. The structure includes a plate-shaped frame and a striker mounted on a front surface of the plate-shaped frame and fixed to a bottom of the hood. A safety hook is provided in front of the front end carrier of the FEM and is movable to an engagement location with the striker and a release location from the striker. A ratch is configured to engage with or to disengage from the striker. A pop-up means is configured to pop up a hood by forcibly lifting the striker while the ratch engages with the striker as the safety hook disengages from the striker when a collision of the vehicle occurs.

Also included is a hood having a striker pin operably connected to the hood for engaging a rotatable latch, wherein such engagement places the hood in the secured position. 摘要: A hood latch having an extra-long fishmouth for enabling a vehicle hood to deflect downwardly upon impact, such as when hit by a pedestrian in a frontal crash. To prevent this deflection when the hood is slammed shut in ordinary use, a stop lever is pivotally mounted to the latch housing. The stop lever features first and second arms defining a slot therein. One arm has a proboscis thereon and is biased to align the slot with the fishmouth, with the proboscis jutting into the fishmouth. The proboscis receives an impact from the striker and rotates the stop lever to a blocking position wherein the non-proboscis arm intercepts the striker and prevents it from reaching the bottom end of the fishmouth. In the closed position the ratchet retains the striker at an intermediate depth in the fishmouth, enabling the striker to travel toward the bottom end thereof.

摘要: An active hood latch system for a vehicle may include a housing, a locking/releasing bar connected to a cable of a hood latch assembly, a locking/releasing unit configured to release a locked state of the locking/releasing bar using a signal of a pedestrian collision detecting sensor, and a pulling unit configured to rotate the locking/releasing bar by pulling an end of the locking/releasing bar, wherein the hood latch assembly includes a main latch pivotally coupled to the housing, and a flexible member connecting the housing to the main latch, and wherein when the cable may be pulled by operating the locking/releasing unit using the signal of the pedestrian collision detecting sensor, the main latch may be released to pop up a hood and the flexible member connected to the main latch may be selectively extended by the hood to absorb collision energy and reduce damage to a pedestrian.
