Abstract: A seat belt buckle assembly includes a buckle housing; a plate extending from the buckle housing and defining a slot; and a bracket including a rivet engaged in the slot. The plate and rivet are configured such that, in response to an impact force that exceeds a threshold acting to pull the buckle housing away from the bracket, the slot plastically deforms, permitting the buckle housing and plate to translate relative to the bracket.

Abstract: The present disclosure is directed to a table that may be selectively stored in a portion of a vehicle console. An outer housing member having a storage cavity therein attaches to a side of the vehicle console. A support shaft supporting a table is mounted for sliding and rotational movement with respect to the vehicle console. The support shaft is slidable in a first direction from a storage position wherein the table is positioned in a vertical orientation in the cavity of the outer housing member. The support shaft is also rotatable 270 degrees from the storage position to move the table into a horizontal use position after removal from the storage position.

Abstract: A vehicle includes a box extending from a cab and including a floor and a first sidewall attached to a headboard, via a hinge assembly, disposed normal to the floor and sidewall. The hinge assembly is configured to allow the first sidewall to rotate away from the floor at the headboard. The vehicle also includes a latch mechanism. The latch mechanism includes a pin having an end and a shaft attached to the first sidewall and a receiver having a plate hingedly connected to the receiver. Upon rotation of the first sidewall toward the floor, the end fits into the receiver and the plate locks the shaft to secure the first sidewall to the floor.

Abstract: A vehicle center console includes an expandable top disposed on a storage bin. The center console is slidably connected to a floor pan and is movable towards the second-row seats. The expandable top includes a central component having an upper side and an underside, and a telescoping mechanism attached to first and second movable side components. The telescoping mechanism includes a body connected to the underside and a pair of telescoping arms extending from opposing sides of the body and movable between at least an extended position and a collapsed position. Each of the side components are attached to one of the arms such that undersides of the side components overlap the upper side of the central component when the arms are in the collapsed position, and the upper side of the central component is substantially flush with upper sides of the side components when the arms are in the extended position.
