摘要： A fire door assembly is provided for covering a structure opening in a sidewall of a structure. The fire door assembly has a roller assembly to be mounted to a portion of the structure defining a portion of the structure opening and a curtain panel disposed on the roller assembly. The curtain panel is operable between a retracted position where the curtain panel is wound onto the roller assembly and an extended position where the curtain panel is unwound from the roller assembly to cover the structure opening. The curtain panel includes first and second panel portions with mutually opposing edge portions in a closed position. A fastener is provided to releasably attach the first and second panel portions to each other. The first and second panel portions are separable from each other in response to an egress force exerted thereon to form an egress through the curtain panel. Upon relaxation or removal of the egress force, the panel portions return to the closed position to close the egress.

A stabilizing arrangement, which opposes the deformation of the gate leaf, is provided, wherein the stabilizing arrangement has a threshold element which rests preferably on the bottom of the opening closed by the gate leaf when the gate leaf is in the closed position. The threshold element forms the bottom edge of the opening and preferably is attached to the gate leaf elements adjacent in the direction of the tilt axes to the opening, wherein the height of the threshold element in the direction in which the pivot axis extends is, at least in the area of its edges which are preferably essentially parallel to the tilt axes, less than 20 mm, preferably less than 10 mm, even more preferably less than 8 mm, and most preferably 5 mm or less.

摘要： A shutter with an emergency exit has blocks attached to it. The projection of the blocks from the shutter match the projection of hinges that hold the emergency exit, such that the shutter winds evenly around a drum in a shutter box. The shutter also has reinforced horizontal shutter materials directly above and directly below the emergency exit to keep the shutter horizontally balanced as the shutter is wound into or out of the shutter box. The shutter also includes shock absorbing material where the emergency exit and the shutter meet. The shock absorbing material reduces noise from the contact of the emergency exit and the shutter and also prevents smoke from transferring from one side of the shutter to the other.

摘要： A roll-up door having a smaller service door therein is provided. The smaller service door pivots about a vertical hinged edge and enables an operator to move through the roll-up door more efficiently via the smaller and more convenient service door. According to one embodiment of the invention, a self-locking assembly is provided on the free end of the service door for holding together the free end of the service door so that it moves together as a single unit when the service door is in use. A method of manufacturing a roll-up door having a service door therein is also provided.
