摘要: There is provided an adjustable vane turbine and turbine generator using the same, in which hydrodynamic properties are employed to adjust adjustable vanes automatically in response to flow condition such as the flow rate of the working fluid, thereby simplifying the system using the adjustable vanes and reducing cost. In the adjustable vane turbine, a turbine wheel is installed in a turbine housing and rotatably supported by a shaft, and a plurality of adjustable vanes are movably installed between the turbine housing and the turbine wheel, wherein each of the adjustable vanes includes an adjustable vane member having one end portion rotatably fixed to the turbine housing, a vane control element attached on one side of the adjustable vane member at a set angle, and a guide element attached on the other side of the adjustable vane member, the plurality of adjustable vanes being connected using links between neighboring vanes.

摘要: A bistable pitch propeller includes a ball, a spring, and a clutch module where the clutch module has a range of rotational movement between a locked end position and a released end position. The clutch module includes a detent, where the ball sits inside and outside of the detent when the clutch module is in the locked end position and released end position, respectively. In response to an input torque and a spring force from the spring, the clutch module rotates toward the released end position and the locked end position, respectively. The bistable pitch propeller also includes an aircraft blade where the aircraft blade is at the first pitch angle and the second pitch angle when the clutch module is in the locked end position and the released end position, respectively.

In response to the torque that is applied to the clutch module exceeding the torque threshold, the clutch module is released where the blade has a range of motion which extends from the first pitch angle to a second pitch angle in response to the clutch module being released.

摘要: A system is provided to adjust the operating angle of attack of a variable pitch impeller blade in response to different conditions. The impeller blade is pivotally mounted around a pivot axis and a small control surface attached to the blade provides a turning moment around the pivot axis to oppose a similar moment provided by the lift component of the blade. The operating angle of attack of the blade is determined by the angle at which the moment from the control surface tapers off as it approaches stall range, thus equalizing the moment from the impeller blade.
