    摘要: According to one aspect, a releasable roller clutch includes a shaft and a clutch housing positioned around the shaft. The shaft and clutch housing together defining a space there between with rollers positioned in said space. The rollers permit rotation of the shaft relative to the clutch housing when in an unlocked position in which the rollers are not wedged and prevent rotation of the shaft relative to the clutch housing when in a locked position in which the rollers are wedged. A cage extends into the space defined between the shaft and clutch housing. The cage is moveable relative to the clutch housing between an unlocking position and a locking position. The cage has a contact edge positionable to prevent the rollers from moving from the unlocked position to the locked position when the cage is in an unlocking position. The releasable roller clutch permits rotation of the shaft relative to the clutch housing in both directions when the cage is in the unlocking position.

    摘要: A torque limiter for transmitting motion from a drive shaft to a driven member, and for disconnecting the driven member from the drive shaft when a predetermined transmitted twisting torque value is exceeded is provided. The torque limiter has a hub fitted to the drive shaft; a rotary first flange fixed to an axial end of the hub; a second flange fixed to the driven member and facing the first flange; and a number of modules fitted to an annular portion of the first flange, and for transmitting motion from the first flange to the second flange, and for cutting off transmission when the transmitted torque exceeds a predetermined maximum value. The first flange is fixed to the hub at the same annular portion to which the modules are fitted, and the hub has a number of appendages projecting radially outwards and each fixed to the first flange by at least one bolt. The modules are equally spaced along the annular portion of the first flange, and one appendage is located between each. two adjacent modules.

The traction drive system can include an input drive disk, a spider, an array of traction balls, a traction plate, an output drive shaft, a clamping device to load the traction balls, and an absolute rotation position sensor system. The rotation of the output drive shaft can be coupled to the rotation of the input drive disk while the traction balls are frictionally engaged to the drive disk surface and traction plate surface. The rotational connection can be decoupled when the traction balls are not frictionally engaged to the drive disk surface and traction plate surface. A rotational position sensor located in proximity to the traction drive can provide absolute rotational position feedback of the output drive shaft.

This arrangement removes all axially sliding friction surfaces from the torque limiter so that the torque bandwidth is reduced, allowing manufacturers to design structures more optimally.

The device includes an input ramp to receive torque from the input shaft; a combined ramp to transfer torque; an output ramp to transfer torque to the gear reduction; one or more balls between the input ramp and the combined ramp and between the combined ramp and the output ramp to transfer torque; and a brake for causing torque to be grounded and for preventing backdriving of the input shaft by preventing movement of one or more of the input ramp, the combined ramp and the output ramp when a torque threshold has been met. The input ramp and the output ramp are a no-back ramp and a torque limiter ramp, respectively, and the device also includes a pin between the combined ramp and one or more of the no-back ramp and the gear reduction for transferring torque.

The selectable one way clutch is selectively operable to prevent rotation of the shaft in at least one rotational direction. The selectable one way clutch includes a torque limiting system, such as a ball-detent torque limiting mechanism, which is operable to prevent torque transfer greater than a pre-defined value, between the housing and the shaft.
