    摘要: A milling machine may have a frame, a milling drum attached to the frame, and ground engaging tracks that support the frame and propel the milling machine in a forward or rearward direction. The milling machine may have height adjustable actuators connecting the frame to the tracks. Each actuator may have a cylinder attached to the frame, a piston slidably disposed within the cylinder, and a rod connected at a first end to the piston and connected to a track at a second end. The milling machine may have a tank storing hydraulic fluid and a fluid conduit connecting the tank to the cylinder. The milling machine may have a control valve selectively controlling a flow rate of the hydraulic fluid in the fluid conduit. The milling machine may also have a controller that determines a height of the frame relative to the ground surface based on the flow rate.

    摘要: An open/shut valve mechanism for detecting that a piston member of a hydraulic pressure cylinder has reached an unclamp position comprises: a valve body reception hole that communicates with a unclamp hydraulic pressure operating chamber, a valve body movably received in the valve body reception hole and having an annular concave engagement portion on its external circumferential portion; a spherical body that is movably installed in a cylinder main body and that can engage with the concave engagement portion; and an engagement portion that is formed on an auxiliary rod and with which the spherical body can engage; and when hydraulic pressure is charged into the unclamp hydraulic pressure operating chamber and the piston member has reached its unclamp position, the valve body receives the hydraulic pressure, a portion of the spherical body engages to the engagement portion and the valve body changes over to the valve closed position; and, when the piston member has shifted from its unclamp position, the spherical body engages with the annular concave engagement portion without engaging to the engagement portion, so that the valve body is held in its open position.

In further examples, methods of operating an apparatus include the step (I) of applying fluid pressure to at least one of the first fluid chamber and the second fluid chamber, and the step (II) of determining a position of the piston within the cavity based on the applied fluid pressure.

    摘要: An apparatus and method for controlling an actuator system having an electrical actuator in hydraulic communication with a hydraulic actuator are described. The apparatus includes a controller module in communication with a source of electrical power and a transceiver. The transceiver is adapted for bi-directional wireless communication with a remote transceiver for the transfer of control data and feedback data. The controller module sends a control signal to the electrical actuator in response to control data received from the remote transceiver. The source of electrical power includes a hydraulic motor and an electrical generator to provide local electrical power from a hydraulic flow. Because the electrical power is generated locally and the control and feedback data are carried over the wireless link, no wires to remote locations are required.

    摘要: A hydraulic system includes position sensors that are provided together with solenoid valves in fluid passages extending between a working fluid source and hydraulic actuators. Each position sensor is comprised of two gears disposed in the fluid passage so as to be rotatable by the flow of working fluid, and two sensing elements each disposed to face either one of the gears. A controller determines the operating position of each actuator based on sensor outputs that are out of phase with each other and are generated by the sensing elements each time the gears rotate for a predetermined angle.

Alternatively, the piston information can be compared to a reference signal relating to a desired position, velocity, acceleration, and/or direction of movement of the piston to produce a control signal, which can be used to adjust the hydraulic fluid flow and provide the desired actuation of the piston.
