摘要： A fluid monitoring arrangement for giving a warning of deterioration or failure in a drive system which will maintain a required drive in spite of said deterioration or failure. The deterioration or failure is indicated by relative movement between two parts of the drive system, each part having associated with it an intermittent supply of fluid. The fluid is supplied to fluid logic means and the fluid logic means provides an output indicative of the relative movement of the two parts and hence of any failure or deterioration in the system.

摘要： Elongated articles, such as stud bolts, are conveyed in endwise relationship along a chute to a point of use. A fixed stop is engageable by articles within the chute. A pair of spaced airjet detectors are longitudinally spaced in the bottom of the chute and positioned at predetermined distances from each other and from the stop. When an article engages the stop, at least one or none of the airjet detectors will be covered depending on the position of the article in the chute. The detectors are connected to a pneumatic signal circuit which generates signals in response to the position of an article with respect to the said detectors.

摘要： A device for measuring fluid flow comprises a fluid oscillator including a feedback path whose RC time constant may be varied in response to the flow being measured, such that the frequency of oscillation is proportional to the rate of flow. A proportional fluid amplifier has a power stream input and one output connected in the feedback path of a NOR-type oscillator, and the flow being measured is applied as a control input signal to the amplifier to effectively vary the RC time constant of the feedback path. The oscillator produces fluid output pulses at a rate proportional to the flow being measured, and these pulses are counted to provide a digital indication of the flow rate.

摘要： Proximity sensing is achieved by issuing a vortical sheet of fluid from an axial outlet passage of a vortex chamber and sensing the static pressure in a sensor tube disposed along the chamber axis. Pressure in the sensor tube is a function of object proximity to the outlet passage. Premature collapse of the vortical sheet is prevented by raising the pressure interiorly of the vortex sheet from a negative pressure. This is achieved by supplying a portion of the vortex chamber fluid to the sensor tube and hence to the interior of the vortex sheet.

摘要： A fluidic detector for testing bottles for leaks. The detector includes a test station having a sensor adapted to signal the presence of a bottle at the test position, the signal activating a control circuit which initiates the operation of a retractable pressure-sensing head. The head sealably engages the bottle and proceeds to fill it with a compressible fluid, the resultant pressure build-up in the bottle being monitored and applied to a fluidic comparator where the variable pressure is compared with reference values to determine whether the bottle is acceptable, and in the event there is a leak which renders the bottle unacceptable, to produce a reject signal which, after the head is disengaged from the bottle, is applied to an ejector to remove the defective bottle.
