    摘要: A power transmission unit for preventing malfunction and deterioration in durability of a locking device arranged in a housing by preventing the ingress of foreign matters into the locking device. In the power transmission unit, a one-way brake 10 for selectively stopping a rotation of an output shaft 1a of an engine 1 is disposed between the housing 11 of a transmission mechanism and an engine block 1b. A fixed member 10a is fixed to the housing 11 or to the engine block 1b, and a movable member 10b is attached to the output shaft 1a. A through hole 21 is formed on the housing at a vertically lowest portion and axially outside of a region where the one-way brake 10 is situated, so as to provide a communication between an inner space and an outer space of the housing 11.

    摘要: An individual automatic transmission for each road wheel, independently connected to the drive shaft, so that each wheel acts without regard to the requirements of the other road wheels. With exception of some type of manual reversing system, a brake, and a gas pedal, no manually operated clutches, shift levers, or differential gearing is required. A vehicle having four road wheels has a correct torque exerted on each of the wheels as long as the drive engine is running, the intensity of which is determined by road conditions on that wheel and on the desires of the operator who controls the engine speed. Connection of each driven wheel shaft to the engine shaft can be made by bevel gears of the desired ratio and/or universal couplings.

    摘要: A variable speed transmission is disclosed. In one embodiment, a two shaft and two opposing planetary gearset arrangement is utilized. Drive and driven shafts are connected as respective inputs and outputs to opposing planetary gears of the planetary gearsets. Respective sun gears are rotatably coupled to each end of an intermediary shaft which traverses the span between the planetary gearsets. Respective ring gears are meshed to a pair of spur gears coupled to a secondary shaft which also traverses the span. In operation, the coordinated actuation of a pair of clutch-brake assemblies associated with the intermediary and secondary shafts substantially continuously varies the transmission of torque from the drive shaft to the driven shaft.

    摘要: The present invention relates to a constant mesh clutch for transmission of rotational movement between an input and an output, comprising a first sun gear and a second sun gear, a number of planet gears in mesh with said sun gears and held in a carrier, wherein said carrier has a disc formed integral with it and extending radially for a caliper fixed on the flywheel house to apply a braking force upon it; and said second sun gear has a shaft formed integral with it and serving to carry said first sun gear. As a different braking force is applied on said disc, the power transmitted from said first sun gear through said planet gears to said second sun gear also changes, thus realizing a stepless transmission of power between an input and an output. The constant mesh clutch of the present invention is not only simple in structure and easy to maintain, but also has a high efficiency.
