Abstract: A power unit for a pedal vehicle includes a pedal shaft, an output shaft arranged to transfer torque to a vehicle wheel, a main epicyclic gear set arranged to control transmission ratio between the pedal shaft and the output shaft, an assist motor connected to an assist gear of the main epicyclic gear set, and a control motor connected to a control gear of the main epicyclic gear set. The control motor and the control gear form a control assembly of the power unit. The power unit includes a one-way clutch provided to the control assembly of the power unit and arranged to transmit rotation in only a first rotation direction.

Abstract: A method is provided to control a hybrid powertrain, comprising: a) engaging a gear corresponding to either a gear pair connected with a first planetary gear in the gearbox or corresponding to a gear pair connected with a second planetary gear and an output shaft; b) selecting a gear by connecting two rotatable components in the first planetary gear with each other, via a first coupling device and/or connecting two rotatable components in the second planetary gear with each other, via a second coupling device; and c) controlling a switch such that a first electrical machine is set into a waiting state, if the second coupling device connects the two rotatable components of the second planetary gear with each other, and such that a second electrical machine is set into a waiting state, if the first coupling device connects the two rotatable components of the first planetary gear with each other.

Abstract: A transmission for a hydraulic hybrid motor vehicle includes a planetary gear train (30) capable of differential operation. The planetary gear train has a first element (32) linked to an internal combustion engine (34), a second element (40) linked to drive wheels (22) of the vehicle, and a third element (36) linked to a hydraulic pump (64). The transmission (1) further includes a hydraulic machine which drives the drive wheels (22) by way of a link between the third element (36) of the planetary gear train (30) and the hydraulic pump (64). This link includes a speed reducer (38, 60) that provides, when the whole of the planetary gear train is rotating at the same speed, a reduction in the speed of rotation of the pump relative to that of the internal combustion engine (34) that is greater than a value of approximately two.

A blocking device is provided for blocking the variability of the transmission ratio that can be adjusted between the first mechanical power branch and the output side of the summation transmission by the rotational speed of the second electric or hydraulic power branch.

Abstract: The power-transmission device has an input shaft, an output shaft, a gear mechanism, and a motor. The gear mechanism includes a plurality of planetary gear mechanisms and a mode-switching mechanism, and transmits the rotations of the input shaft to the output shaft. The mode-switching mechanism selectively switches the drive-power transmission path of the power-transmission device between a plurality of modes. The motor is connected to the rotating elements of the planetary gear mechanisms. A target-input-torque determination unit determines the target input torque, which is a target value for the torque to be inputted to the power-transmission device. The target-output-torque determination unit determines the target output torque, which is a target value for the torque to be outputted from the power-transmission device. The command-torque determination unit uses the torque balance information to determine torque commands to the motor from the target input torque and the target output torque.

Abstract: Transition is made from a motor single-drive mode to a motor dual-drive mode while there is a margin in torque output from a motor MG2 with respect to rated torque. With this, the torque of the motor MG1 is changed slowly in the motor dual-drive mode, whereby it is possible to suppress the generation of vibration (shock) due to torsion of a damper and to compensate for a shortage of the torque of the motor MG1 due to slow change processing with an increase in torque from the motor MG2. As a result, it is possible to achieve both of reduction of a shock due to the torque of the motor MG1 and output of required torque to a drive shaft.
