    摘要: A valve for detecting a liquid surface used in a fuel tank is formed of a valve body having an orifice at an upper part thereof, a plurality of bottom through-holes formed at a bottom part thereof, and a plurality of surrounding wall through-holes formed at a surrounding part thereof; a valve member movably disposed inside the valve body to close the orifice; and an urging member for moving the valve member in cooperation with buoyancy of the valve member so as to close the orifice. In the valve of the invention, the diameter of the orifice is set to be larger than the diameter of the bottom through-holes, and also larger than a diameter of the surrounding wall through-holes. Therefore, the orifice can be prevented from being clogged by foreign substances.

    摘要: Waste liquid is discharged pneumatically into a liquid sewage or disposal system through a discharge conduit from the outlet of a vessel which receives such liquid from sanitary conveniences. A body in the vessel, which is capable of floating in the liquid therein, is drawn by suction toward the outlet when the liquid falls to a first low liquid level above the outlet, so that flow of air from the vessel into the system will be prevented. The floating body is removed from the outlet by mechanism in the vessel when the liquid therein rises to a second higher level, so that liquid will be withdrawn pneumatically from the vessel.

    摘要: A specific gravity valve, has a floating valve member with a specific gravity that is less than the specific gravity of a first liquid and greater than the specific gravity of a second, heavier liquid. A valve seat is associated with the floating valve member. A valve member retainer retains the floating valve member and permits limited vertical movement of the floating valve member between an open position away from the valve seat and a closed position engaged with the valve seat, such that in the open position, fluid flow through the respective outlet is permitted, and in the closed position, fluid flow through the respective outlet is prevented. The specific gravity valve may be used with a production tank to prevent an unintended draw off of the wrong fluid component in the tank.

    摘要: The double action float valve is connected to a single pipe and a tank and controls both the filling and discharge of the tank. The double action float valve utilizes a valve body, a heavy filling obturator positioned within the valve body, a light inverse obturator positioned within the heavy filling obturator, and a float connected to the heavy filling obturator. When the inflow pressure from the pipe is greater than the outflow pressure of the tank, the tank is filled until the float reaches a predetermined level. When the outflow pressure of the tank is greater than the inflow pressure, the double action float valve is automatically reconfigured to discharge the fluid from the tank into the pipe.

    摘要: A production tank with a tank body has an oil outlet and a water outlet in combination with specific gravity valves. A specific gravity valve is mounted to each outlet. Each specific gravity valve has a floating valve member, a valve seat associated with the valve member and a valve member retainer. The valve member retainer retains the valve member and permits limited vertical movement of the valve member between an open position, away from the valve seat, and a closed position where the valve member directly engages with the valve seat. In the open position, fluid may flow through the outlets and, in the closed position, fluid flow through the outlets is prevented. On the oil outlet, the valve member retainer retains the valve member above the fluid outlet and, on the water outlet, the valve member retainer retains the valve member below the fluid outlet.

    摘要: There is described a valve arrangement which in one form is an inlet valve (60) or in another form is a dual flush valve (2). The valves may be used in a variety of situations but find particular application in a cistern for providing water to flush a toilet bowl or similar. The valve arrangement (2) comprises a flushing tube (100) or a pair of flushing tubes (14, 18) which can move axially. One end of the tubes (100, 18) is sealed to an outlet (9). The tubes are provided with rings or collars (16, 22) which co-operatively engage with locking edges (48, 50) of floats (40, 44) to control movement of the tubes (100, 14, 18). The floats (40, 44) are mounted off-center or in a position spaced apart from their respective centers of gravity so that they are free to move under the effects of gravity and the effects of lift provided by buoyancy of the floats. In operation the sequential effects of gravity and buoyancy cause the floats to hold the tubes in position and then release the tubes thereby allowing selective flushing positions.
