摘要： A rotary valve assembly comprising a valve body having a fluid flow passageway in communication with the valve body cavity which comprises a rotatable closure member for selectively closing or opening the fluid flow passageway intersecting the valve body cavity. A valve operator consists of a reciprocatable and rotatable stem connected to the closure member so that the stem can reciprocate relative to the closure member and when the stem rotates, the closure member and the stem rotate together. The closure member comprises stop means to arrest movement of the stem towards the closure member in order to transmit the stem force to the closure member. A lift-and-turn mechanism or a lift-turn-and-reseat mechanism actuates the stem. In one embodiment, the stem back-seats to prevent fugitive emissions. The valve operator selectively moves the closure member to a flow closed position or to a flow open position.

摘要： A choke 10 for controlling the flow of fluid along the pressurized flow line includes a body 12 having a fluid inlet aligned with a fluid outlet. A stationary outer sleeve 64 is secured within the body, and has radially opposing sleeve flow ports 102, 104 therein each preferably spaced approximately 90.degree. from the inlet axis. A rotary inner sleeve 56 is mounted within the stationary sleeve and is rotatable about a common sleeve axis 88. The inner sleeve has similar opposing ports 110, 112, so that rotation of the rotary sleeve adjusts the circumferential position of the ports to control the flow of fluid through the choke. An elastomeric seal 130, 132 circumferentially surrounding each sleeve port in one of the sleeves is provided for sealing engagement with the other sleeve. A bonnet cover 20 is removably affixed to the valve body 12 for facilitating removal of both the stationary sleeve and the rotary sleeve.

摘要： A self-contained, operative, valving unit which includes a valve body having inlet and outlet ports, and a rotatable valve plug is securely though removably housed within a valve housing having inlet and outlet ports which are permanently secured to pipes through which the fluid media to be controlled is conveyed to and from the housing, and wherein the entire valving unit, per se, is received within a valving-unit-receptive bore of the valve housing with its inlet and outlet ports in cooperative, aligned, fluid tight relationship with respect to corresponding inlet and outlet ports interiorly of the valve housing whereby the flow of fluid media through the valve housing is controlled by the removable valving unit.

摘要： A positive-action non-leaking shut-off valve that requires minimal arcuate movement of the manual actuator from full-open to full-closed position is provided by three major components. A valve housing has a water-flow channel therethrough along its longitudinal axis and a cylindrical bore through said valve housing transversal to said water-flow channel. A lever-actuated valve shaft fits snugly into said bore. The valve shaft carries a plug therein that is centered for rotation about the centerline of the bore through the housing. The plug stoppers the water-flow channel when it is rotated against the openings that the water-flow channel makes with the cylindrical bore.

摘要： A rotary plug valve comprised of a valve body having a replaceable liner and valve plug disposed therein. The liner is formed of a pair of axially split complementary liner members, including an upstream liner member and a downstream liner member, having at least one radially elastically deformable retaining member disposed around the periphery thereof. The dimensions of the valve plug, the liner members forming the liner and the elastically deformable retaining member are such that at pressures in the lower part of the working range of the valve, the retaining member is held in an elastically deformed condition, and the valve plug and liner are maintained in forceful intimate contact independent of pressure-related deformations in the valve body, and such that at relatively higher pressures above some predetermined intermediate pressure, the retaining member is further elastically radially expanded by the forces from the development of line pressure between the upstream liner member and the valve plug, and the seal between the upstream liner member and the valve plug is broken due to the high pressure fluid being forced therebetween, so that the force tending to move the upstream liner member against the valve plug is reduced, and less torque is required to open the valve.

摘要： A rotary plug valve comprising a valve body having a cylindrical bore with axially offset lateral inlet and outlet ports communicating with the bore on opposite sides thereof. A cylindrical plug in the bore has a slanted passage which connects the inlet port to the outlet port in the open position of the valve. Sealing means are provided at each end of the plug. Flow sealing means is provided on the periphery of the plug between the end sealing means and follows a continuous sinuous path around the plug having peaks which extend alternately above and below the inlet port. The path lies between the inlet and outlet ports in the closed position of the valve to prevent leakage therebetween. Substantially identical increments of the path are diametrically spaced apart and encompass equal areas on opposite sides of the plug. The plug is thereby balanced under all operating conditions against forces created by the fluid pressure acting thereon.
