    摘要: A threadless pipe coupling (x00) comprises a socket (x01), a plug (x02) configured for being inserted into the socket (x01) in an insertion direction (10), a sealing member (x03) arranged between a circumferential outer surface (x04) of the plug (x02) and a cooperating inner surface (x05) of a circumferential side wall (x06) of the socket (x01), so as to provide a fluid tight seal when the plug (x02) is placed in the socket (x01), wherein the plug (x02) is retained in the socket (x01) by means of a locking member (x07) inserted in a transverse direction through a slot (x08) in the circumferential side wall (x06) of the socket (x01) to engage around the plug (x02) at a location behind the sealing member (x03) as seen in the insertion direction (10). The ends (x28, x29) of the locking member (x07) in the mounted position are located between the outer surface (x04) of the plug (x02) and the circumferential side wall (x06) of the socket (x01) as seen in a radial direction.

    摘要: The invention concerns a connector for connecting respiratory ducts together such that they are placed in fluid communication. The connector comprises a first conduit having a female connector end and a second conduit having a male connector end adapted to be received within the female connector end of the first conduit such that the male and female connector ends form a common conduit having an inner surface formed at least in part by the male connector end. The male connector has a retaining formation which is adapted to abut a corresponding formation of the female connector so as to resist separation of the first and second conduits whilst permitting relative rotation there-between when connected. The inner surface of the male connector may comprise a gas washed surface in use. The engagement formation is preferably a recessed area of the female connector, which may be generally annular in shape. In one embodiment, the member(s) may comprise a valve seat. The invention also concerns a breathing circuit comprising the connector.

    摘要: A connector having a male part and a female part, the latter having a hollow body and a hollow housing portion connected thereto to form a passage for flow of fluid. The portion is provided with at least one detent on the inside wall and has an opening on the end remote from the body. The detent is provided with a sloping surface which flares in the direction of the opening and also has an abutment surface facing toward the body.The male part has a front end which is inserted into the opening and carries an inclined surface which is complementary to the sloping surface of the female part. In a manner analogous to the female part, the male part is provided with an abutment facing away from the front end and adapted to abut the abutment surface on the female part when the connector is in closed position.
