    摘要: A structural framework for supporting the heat exchanger of a steam generator, the former being comprised of serpentine tubes having sloped segments to facilitate the drainage of water from the heat exchanger when the steam generator is shutdown. The structural framework includes paired groups of vertically and diagonally extending first support members contiguously straddling the sloped-tube segments. The paired first support members are rigidly connected by second support members which extend between adjacent sloped-tube segments. The structural framework preserves the spacing between the sloped-tube segments and prevents direct contact between adjoining tube surfaces, but is not attached to the straddled tube segments and, thus, provides a tube supporting fit that is loose enough to permit the tubes to move freely due to expansion and contraction at different rates from that of the structural framework.

    摘要: A spacing arrangement for tubes of a reheater or superheater tube section uses a spacer bar that is sufficiently long to span a space across a plurality of tubes in the tube section. The spacer bar has a plurality of holes therein which are spaced apart by a selected spacing corresponding to a desired spacing between the plurality of tubes in the section. A plurality of sleeves is provided with one sleeve on adjacent tubes in the section. A tab is fixed to each sleeve and extends outwardly from the sleeve to which it is fixed so that the tabs of all the sleeves extend outwardly from a common plane containing all the adjacent tubes in the section. The tabs extend into respective holes in the spacer bar and fillet welds fix the tabs to the spacer bar adjacent the holes and at a location spaced from the sleeves.

    摘要: There is provided an arrangement for mounting the top end of a heat exchange module to and between a pair of opposed support frame surfaces, the arrangement including an elongate transverse beam and a pair of end mounting assemblies. The elongate transverse beam is securable to the top end of the heat exchange module with the longitudinal extent of the transverse beam oriented in the direction from one opposed support frame surface toward the other opposed support frame surface. One longitudinal end of the transverse beam has a left hand overextension portion extending longitudinally beyond the portion of the transverse beam immediately therebelow and the other longitudinal end of the transverse beam having a right hand overextension portion extending longitudinally beyond the portion of the transverse beam immediately therebelow. The pair of end mounting assemblies of the top end mounting arrangement are each securable to one of the opposed support frame surfaces to extend therefrom toward the other opposed support frame surface. Each end mounting assembly is operable to mount a respective longitudinal end of the transverse beam to a respective one of the opposed support frame surfaces.

    摘要: A heat exchanger has a duct through which heated gases pass. A plurality of tube panels are within the duct and each panel includes a header from which a plurality of tubes extend. A pair of hangers support each tube panel to form space in the duct above and below the tube panel for maintenance access. Baffles restrict the flow of gases through these spaces. Each hanger has a bracket attached to the header of the tube panel with a rod pivotally coupled to the bracket and extending through an aperture in the roof of the duct. The hangers are connected to structural members on the exterior of the duct in a manner that maintains the tube panel in a fixed position during operation of the heat exchanger, while allowing movement of a panel within said duct for maintenance.

The each of the heat exchanger units includes, the bank of tubes formed of tube walls, inlet ports being connected to the collector and the outlet ports being connected to each of the first and second outlet collectors.
