    摘要: A sludge lance for a tube and shell steam generator that has a central divider plate that extends substantially the length of a central tube lane substantially bisecting a hand hole through which the tube lane can be accessed. The sludge lance has a nozzle with a spring biased, reciprocally movable plunger that extends against the divider plate and is locked in position by a stream of high pressure cleaning fluid that traverses the nozzle and exits through jets to clean sludge from between the tubes. An alignment tool with a swing arm indexes the jets to assure they are properly aligned with the tube rows and spaced from the divider plate.

The apparatus includes: a crawler (66) with motive means 68 for "inch worm" movement; a rotationally driven base 62 provides movement of the sprayhead to either side of the outboard support beam; a rotationally driven extension arm 60 on rotating base 62 has an elongated reciprocally driven elevator 58 thereon; and, a wrist 52 reversibly and rotatably driven by motor 54a sweeps sprayhead 52 with nozzles 56 to clean the top of the bundle 16 tube lanes of 90.degree., 45.degree. and 135.degree. efficiently.

    摘要: An apparatus for use with a search device and a foreign object extrication device in a steam generator includes a router having two conduits for routing the search and extrication devices, and a positioning mechanism for positioning the conduits. The extrication device may include a cable having a pushing mechanism for pushing a foreign object within the steam generator and a hook mechanism for pulling the foreign object. Alternatively, the extrication device may include a loop mechanism for pulling. The extrication device may include a cable having a slotted end for pushing. Alternatively, the cable may have an anvil for pushing. The router may include a guide tube interconnected with the first conduit for guiding the search device from the tube lane into a selected one of the tube rows of the steam generator and another guide tube interconnected with the second conduit for guiding the extrication device from the tube lane into the selected tube row. Alternatively, the two guide tubes may guide the search and extrication devices into the annulus. The router may also include an attachment for removably attaching the guide tubes to the conduits. Alternatively, the apparatus may be adapted for use with a sludge lancing system in a steam generator having a first half and a second half separated by a tube lane. The apparatus may include a router having four conduits for routing the search device and the extrication device from the tube lane into the two halves. Alternatively, the router may have four conduits for routing the search and extrication devices into two halves of the annulus of the steam generator. Alternatively, the router may have two conduits for positioning by the positioning device, two guide mechanisms for guiding the search and extrication devices, and a connection mechanism for removably connecting the two conduits to the two guide mechanisms. The connection mechanism may include two Y-conduits for two conduits and four guide tubes.

The lance guide and waterlance are moved inside the steam generator to direct a fluid between the tubes to effectively clean sludge from the tubes. The remote control system is mounted outside the steam generator where it is readily serviceable. The automated sludge lance and method can be used in the no-tube-lane, in the annular chamber, or in combination.
