摘要: Described herein are embodiments of systems and methods for oxidizing gases. In some embodiments, a reaction chamber is configured to receive a fuel gas and maintain the gas at a temperature within the reaction chamber that is above an autoignition temperature of the gas. The reaction chamber may also be configured to maintain a reaction temperature within the reaction chamber below a flameout temperature. In some embodiments, heat and product gases from the oxidation process can be used, for example, to drive a turbine, reciprocating engine, and injected back into the reaction chamber.

摘要: Fuel injection nozzles used for reducing NOx in gas turbine engines have incorporated a variety of expensive and complicated techniques. For example, systems use schemes for introducing more air into the primary combustion zone, recirculating cooled exhaust products into the combustion zone and injecting water spray into the combustion zone. The present dual fuel injector reduces the formation of carbon monoxide, unburned hydrocarbons and nitrogen oxides within the combustion zone by providing a series of premixing chambers being in serially aligned relationship one to another. During operation of the dual fuel injector the premixing chambers have a liquid fluid and air or water and air being further mixed with additional air or a gaseous fluid and air. The liquid fluid and the gaseous fluid can be use simultaneously or individually depending on the availability of fluids.

摘要: A channel burner for heating up flowing gas, accommodated inside the channel (1) that conveys the gas and provided with an airbox (2) and a combustion space (3) separated by a burner floor (5). The airbox communicates with an air intake (6) and the burner floor is provided with air-outlet openings in the form of slots (15) in the vicinity of the wall (4) of the combustion space. A gas-supply pipe (7) extends through the airbox and communicates with one or more gas nozzles (12) with bores (13) that open into the combustion space. The outlet cross-section of the slots is beside the bores. The outlet cross-section of the slots is remote from and downstream of the bores in terms of the flowing gas. The slot extends toward the wall of the combustion space. The ratio of the width s of the slot to the width 1 of the combustion space ranges from 0.01:1 to 0.1:1 at the level of the outlet cross-section of the slots.

摘要: A low emissions burner includes a diffusion burner surrounded by an annular array of premix burners. The diffusion burner operates at maximum swirl air flow and at a low constant fuel rate to reduce NOx emissions. The diffusion burner provides a stable swirling diffusion flame. An annular array of premix burners surrounds the diffusion burner and provides a non-swirling premix flame about the diffusion flame to advantageously provide a higher heat content about the periphery of the burner flame to facilitate industrial drying processes using the burner. The diffusion burner flame maintains the premixed flame stabilized. Water injection nozzles are provided each of the premix and diffusion burners.
