    摘要: Systems and methods for purging air and/or one or more inert gases from a flammable gas system, such as a natural gas pipeline, are described. In particular, this application discusses systems and methods for making and using a gas purge burner to purge air/inert gases from a flammable gas system. The gas purge burner includes a burner having a gas inlet and a gas escape vent. The burner also has a continuous ignition mechanism that includes an igniter (such as a pilot light and/or an electric igniter) that is disposed near the gas escape valve. The burner also has a gas outlet that can be disposed between the gas inlet and the gas escape vent and which is also configured to direct gases from the burner to a gas measurement device. The burner can be used to monitor the amount of flammable gas flowing into the burner and to continually ignite and burn off such gas until the stream of gas passing through the burner is substantially pure. Thus, the gas burner can allow a user to perform such tasks while being removed a safe distance from the actual burner, increasing the safety of the user during the pursing process.     摘要: A gas convenience outlet is provided for connecting an outdoor grill or other outdoor gas fired appliance to a home gas supply or other fixed position source of fuel gas, such as natural gas or liquid petroleum gas. The outlet includes a case having an open interior and an openable cover with a manifold mounted in the interior. The manifold has an inlet operatively connected with the supply of fuel gas and has one or more outlets. A primary manual shutoff valve located in the interior of the case is operatively connected with the manifold outlet. The outlet includes an outlet connector extending outside the case. The connector has a standardized fitting that releasably couples in gas tight engagement with one or more gas fired appliances by means of standardized appliance connectors, without the need for adaptors and without a loss of performance due to restriction of the gas supply.

    摘要: A liquefied natural gas (LNG) transport vessel for transporting liquefied natural gas (LNG) is disclosed which is capable of storing excess boil off gas BOG until needed for combustion in one or more combustion apparatus on the vessel. A method for managing the delivery of the BOG to the combustion apparatus is also described. The LNG vessel includes at least one insulated LNG storage tank which stores LNG. A first stage LNG receiver receives and stores BOG from the at least one LNG storage tank. A second stage or high pressure BOG storage tank receives compressed BOG from the receiver and stores the BOG as needed for combustion by one or more combustion apparatus of the vessel. A pressure regulator allows BOG gas to be delivered to the combustion apparatus if there is sufficient pressure in the high pressure storage tank to passively deliver the BOG at a predetermined delivery pressure. If the pressure in the high pressure BOG storage tank is insufficient to passively delivery the BOG to combustion apparatus, then a combustion apparatus compressor may be used to actively increase the pressure in BOG such that the BOG is delivered at the necessary delivery pressure. If there is still insufficient BOG in the high pressure BOG storage tank, then it may be necessary to supply supplemental auxiliary fuel to meet the needs of the combustion apparatus.

The fuel main valve is gradually opened until a second pressure condition is established. Pressure is measured upon a completion of gas-filling. With establishment of a third pressure condition, the inert purge relief valve is closed. With establishment of a fourth pressure condition, the fuel main valve is fully opened.
