Abstract: An appliance includes a first gas-burning heating element, a first gas path extending from an inlet to the first heating element, and a first solenoid valve positioned within the first gas path. The appliance further includes a second gas path extending from upstream of the first solenoid valve to the first heating element and supplying a base gas flow to the first heating element. A controller is electronically coupled with the first solenoid valve for controlling a supplemental flow of gas through the first gas path to the first heating element such that the supplemental gas flow combines with the base gas flow to achieve a total gas flow. The controller controls the supplemental flow to adjust the total gas flow by pulsing the first solenoid valve at a first rate corresponding to a desired rate of the total gas flow to the first heating element.

Abstract: Regulating valve for a gas cooking appliance suitable for supplying different types of combustible gas such as, for example, natural gas or liquefied gas. A valve body of the valve has an inlet conduit, an outlet conduit and a cavity wherein a rotary regulating member is housed. The regulating member includes a plurality of inlet paths communicated with the inlet conduit which, by means of the rotation of the regulating member, allows varying gas flow in the outlet conduit. According to some implementations, the inlet path of the regulating member corresponding to a minimum gas flow is in one and the same angular and axial position for each of the different types of combustible gases.

Abstract: A quick-disconnect gas pipeline comprises a quick-disconnect device (QDD) which comprises a QDD male end and a QDD female end, and a gas hose. The QDD male end is connected to the gas pipeline inside the heating system and the QDD female end is connected to the gas hose outside the heating system. When the heating system is not used, it is easy to disconnect the QDD to prevent people from tripping over the long gas pipeline.

The device includes a flexible connector that allows the user knob to be positioned in various places relative the valve. Abstract: A gas grill is disclosed having a gas control valve with a push to sear feature. The gas control valve has a housing with a valve core rotatably disposed within the housing. A sear valve is disposed within the valve core. A user rotates the valve core within the housing to selectively align a gas inlet port with a inlet passage and to align a sear gas port a the sear gas flow passage. The sear valve has a sear valve element which is selectively movable relative to the valve core to selectively pass a sear gas through a sear gas port and a sear flow passage to the forward end of the valve housing, and then to the grill. A bias member, preferably a coil spring, is mounted between the sear valve element and the valve core for urging the sear valve element to a closed position.
