    摘要: A firearm comprising a barrel assembly, forward receiver, and receiver brake. The barrel assembly comprises a barrel, compression spring, gas tube, and front and rear bushings. The gas tube is situated around the barrel between the front and rear bushings and is not attached to the barrel. The compression spring is situated around the barrel between the front and rear bushings and inside of the gas tube. The front and rear bushings are fixedly attached to the forward receiver. The barrel comprises a gas port that is covered by a gas regulator and is in fluid communication with a gas chamber situated between the front bushing and the gas regulator, which is fixedly attached to the barrel. The receiver brake is fixedly attached to the forward receiver on its distal end.

    摘要: One embodiment of a gun configured with the soft recoil system comprises a plurality of recoiling parts that initially moves in the direction of the projectile being fired before moving in a direction opposite to that of a projectile during the firing of the round. The soft recoil system throttles the movement of the recoiling parts such that the energy expended during the firing of the round is spread over a longer time period and a longer distance than would normally occur. The soft recoil system stores at least a portion of the energy transferred to the recoiling parts and the user may selectively release at least a part of that portion of energy to offset the energy imparted to the gun during the firing of the next round.

The soft recoil system includes: a cannon barrel returning device mounted to a recoil device for absorbing a recoil force occurring when ammunition is fired, and configured to backward press a breech ring, such that the cannon barrel is fixed to a preset position; a cannon barrel fixing device installed at the recoil device, and configured to fix the cannon barrel when the cannon barrel returns to the fixed position; and a forward momentum generator connected to the recoil device and the breech ring, respectively, configured to forward move the cannon barrel by applying a force to the breech ring, such that the ammunition is fired while the cannon barrel forward moves, and configured to reduce a recoil force by partially attenuating recoil momentum resulting from the firing of the ammunition, by forward momentum.

    摘要: An action rate control system for a gas operated firearm that includes an action sleeve and an action rate control cylinder. The action sleeve moves in a rearward direction in response to a volume of combustion gases that are generated during firing of the firearm and diverted from the barrel of the firearm through gas ports. The action rate control cylinder is connected to the action sleeve by a linkage that controls movement and slowing of the action sleeve as it approaches a rear limit for its movement. The resistance force generated by the rate control cylinder is a function of the velocity of the action sleeve during its movement. In another aspect, a gas operated firearm includes a barrel, a bolt assembly, an action system coupled to the bolt assembly, and a rate control cylinder coupled to the action system. The action system includes a sleeve assembly that is driven by a volume of combustion gases that are diverted from the barrel when a round of ammunition is fired. The rate control cylinder controls a terminal velocity of the sleeve assembly being driven by the volume of combustion gases. A resistance force generated by the rate control cylinder is a function of the velocity of the bolt assembly during the bolt assembly's rearward movement. The velocity of the bolt assembly follows a controlled and gradual reduction as the energy load associated with the firing is absorbed by the rate control cylinder.

    摘要: A recoil brake for a gun includes a brake cylinder in which a piston is slidably arranged. As the piston moves when urged by the recoiling mass, it displaces fluid through a narrow flow cross section to thus brake the recoiling mass. The piston rod and the brake cylinder define a brake chamber formed therebetween. The recoil brake is provided with a heat equalization device that includes a heat equalization chamber which is bounded by a spring-tensioned heat equalization piston. An indicator element is coupled to the heat equalization piston for detecting an operating condition (the temperature of the hydraulic fluid) of the recoil brake. The heat equalization and indication device is a self-contained, modular unit releasably connected to a rearward end of the brake cylinder and forming an axial extension thereof. The heat equalization and indication device further has an impact plate bounding the heat equalization chamber and the brake chamber.
