    摘要: A weapon system includes a recoiling mass and a cradle, the recoiling mass including a weapon barrel and a breech ring and translating relative to the cradle during firing, and a guide device being provided for guiding this recoil movement of the recoiling mass. This weapon system is characterized in that the guide device includes at least one bar that is secured to the cradle and extends to the rear of the weapon system, the bar cooperating with at least one rail carried by the breech ring. The breech ring is connected to the cradle by two pairs of hydraulic or pneumatic recoil brakes, each rail being arranged between two brakes of the same pair, the body of each brake being secured to the breech ring.

    摘要: This invention relates to a gun tube support assembly (10), which comprises four support sections (12) arranged annularly around a gun tube (13) and received in an opening in a cradle (15) of a gun. Each support section (12) comprises a bush housing (14), a cradle bush (16) and a damping means sandwiched between the bush housing (14) and cradle bush (16). The damping means is in the form of a rubber pad (18) made of relatively high-temperature silicon rubber. The rubber pad (18) includes a plurality of protrusions 18.1 extending from a face of the pad (18) for abutting an outer surface of the cradle bush (16). The protrusions (18.1) accommodate compression of the pad (18), the arrangement being such that the rubber pad (18) absorbs and dampens kinetic energy emanating from the gun tube (13) during firing of a projectile.

    摘要: A firearm such as a semiautomatic pistol or handgun includes a barrel and a slide with a front aperture for rearward movement of the slide around the barrel during cycling of the slide between forward and rearward positions. A wire bushing is provided between the outer diameter of the barrel and the inner diameter of the aperture of the slide for positioning the barrel within the aperture during cycling. The wire bushing is a spring-like, generally round or O-shaped member (e.g., a bent metal wire) mounted within a groove provided in the slide aperture, with portions of the bushing being bent to lie out of the groove for contacting the barrel. The wire bushing reduces the tolerances between the slide and the barrel, thereby improving operation of the firearm, improves re-location of the barrel within the slide, provides for easier maintenance, and reduces mass, cost, and complexity.

    摘要: A pistol has a frame, a barrel slidable on the frame and having a cartridge-receiving rear end, and a breech slidable on the frame and engageable over the rear end of the barrel to form a cartridge chamber. A standard slide carries the barrel and breech. A firing element and a firing pin operatively linked thereto are movable on the breech toward and away from the barrel between a rear position in which the firing pin is out of the cartridge chamber and a front position with the firing pin projecting forward into the cartridge chamber for firing a cartridge in the chamber when the firing element moves from the rear to the front position. A relatively strong firing spring braced against the firing element urges same into the front position and a relatively weak spring braced against the firing element urges same into the rear position. A trigger movable on the frame between an actuated and an unactuated position and an abutment engageable with the firing element and displaceable backward on the frame are linked together so as to displace the firing element back into the rear position on displacement of the trigger from the unactuated to the actuated position and to displace the abutment out of operative engagement with the firing element on displacement of the trigger into the actuated position for displacement of the firing element by the springs into the front position.

    摘要: An automatic pistol comprises a frame, a barrel slidable on the frame and having a cartridge-receiving rear end, a breech slidable on the frame and engageable over the rear end of the barrel to form a cartridge chamber, and firing mechanism including a firing element and a firing pin operatively linked thereto. The element is movable on the breech toward and away from the barrel between a rear position in which the firing pin is out of the cartridge chamber and a front position with the firing pin projecting forward into the cartridge chamber for firing a cartridge in the chamber when the firing element moves from the rear to the front position. A spring is braced against the element and urges same into the front position. A trigger is movable on the frame between an actuated and an unactuated position. An abutment engageable with the firing element in an intermediate position thereof between its front and rear positions is displaceable backward on the frame. A link is connected between the trigger and the abutment for displacing same backward into the rear position from the intermediate position on displacement of the trigger from the unactuated to the actuated position and for displacing the abutment out of operative engagement with the firing element on displacement of the trigger into the actuated position for displacement of the firing element by the spring means into the front position. Thus the starting position of the abutment for the firing bolt or hammer is at an intermediate location in the travel path of same.
